Ich drehe das alte Radio auf volle Lautstärke und mein Fuß beginnt zu wippen. Plötzlich stellt sich das vertraute Gefühl ein. Glückshormone strömen durch meinen Körper und mein Magen kribbelt. Meine Gliedmaßen brechen aus ihrem dumpfen, vom Gehirn gesteuerten Schattendasein aus und gewinnen nach und nach ihre Selbstständigkeit zurück. Das Wippen des Fußes wird zu den ersten zaghaften Tanzschritten und mein schambesetzter Widerstand schwindet. Wenige Sekunden später sind meine Bewegungen bereits fließend und folgen einer erdachten Choreographie. Mein spontaner Stimmungsausbruch gepaart mit der lauten Musik zieht schnell die Aufmerksamkeit auf sich. Die ersten Leute bleiben stehen und schauen interessiert zu. Bald habe ich erste Mitstreiter auf der großen Wiese, die uns als Tanzfläche dient. Die Musik lockt immer mehr Passanten in den Park und nach und nach füllt sich die Wiese. In mir wächst das Gefühl, dass ich all diese Menschen mit meiner Freude angezogen habe und sie diese nun teilen.

Memum is the solo project of Berlin-based musician and producer David Georgos. Focusing on natural and organic sounds—such as piano, guitar, rhodes, glocks, voices, and field recordings—Georgos transforms and manipulates these elements to create Memum’s distinctive sound. The result is a fusion of ambient electronic textures and experimental pop songwriting.

His critically acclaimed album, “Became a Leaf,” was released on the boutique German label Unperceived Records. Drawing inspiration from his first years in Berlin and a trip to Finland, this album showcases Georgos’ refined approach to sound design, blending field recordings, time-stretched synth layers, and piano to craft compositions that explore themes of birth and decay. The album received early support from platforms like Ambient and artists such as Odesza, as well as a feature on a Café del Mar compilation.

Prior to Memum, Georgos worked under the moniker Locoto. As Locoto, he created remixes for artists such as Boozoo Bajou (K7!, R&S Records) and released his first solo album, “Awakine,” through Modernsoul/Universal Music Publishing.

At the age of 14 the Doubljuh started to experiment with his first DJ setup until mixing music with vinyl became his second nature. His first attempts were characterized by Chicago House (Bad Boy Bill, Richard Humpty vission), Ghetto House/Booty House (Dj Funk, Dj Deeon) and especially Funky Disco House (Boogie Pimps, Armand van Helden, Bob Sinclar, Olav Basoski). Early on a varied House style with groovy melodies and catchy vocals arose. He impressed his audience first as a newcomer of the Tectrex Crew and performed as Resident DJ in the show „Rookie Freaks“ via the Tectrex Webstream. His opinion about electronic music fundamentally changed in summer 2013 after his visits to legendary festivals such as Fusion and Kazantip, which included a short performance. He got to know and love melodic Deep House, which strongly shaped his music style since that time. Now the familiar groovy House beats take turns with soft parts and enchant the audience with frisky melodies of the violin and the piano. This results in fresh sounds, which are still highly characterized by catchy vocals.In 2015, he founded the DJ collective “deep stories” together with Kork, which is very successful with its podcast series on Soundcloud thanks to its innovative concept. He is currently on tour in Hamburg and Berlin with the deep stories showcase.
