Interested and in tune with many diverse forms of music, no matter the genre. His passion is for Funk and Groove built on a solid foundation bassline with a sprinkle of our synthedelic and/or Punk & an air of psychedelic electro with a shamanic voodoo vibe. 

He grew up with the music of many influence from Synth, Nu Wave, Punk, Indie and early Dance culture, key stand outs thou Chicago House and Detroit Techno. After arriving in NewYork in the early 90's after graduation in Architectural Graphic design, cutting his teeth in a multi culture with many influences. This vibe influenced his sense of rhythm and energy which is felt in his selection and passion for good Music. Having a broad but particular range which has something else within a very provocative and unique sound moving with eternal yet an earthy journey. Buying 12" from the initial providers such as Submerge Detriot. Worked in the Music business for many years with BPM records as a buyer of all Electronic/House/Techno with a major focus on these genres and 12" Vinyl as a media.

Playing DJ gigs in Ireland, UK, Europe in the early days having a few regular and Irregular slots ultimately a residency at South Club Tramore.

GBN is always drawn to the evolution of Music in its many forms and keeps the freshness and energy alive as it moves into the 21st Century.

Episode 16 - Ongunko (Turkey)

Dear friends, we are proud to present you the 17th DHM podcast. This time, we meet up with Ongunko from Bursa, Turkey.

Ongunko was born in a small town of Bursa in 1987. In 2007, he went to Sofia for studying.

Until 2011, the lessons he listened to during the day were entering one ear, coming out the other. But at night, while listening to the leading names of electronic msic, music did not come in from one ear and exit the other.

Although he had no training in music, he discovered that he did not hear music the way everyone else did. He did not feel it the way everyone else felt it.

Believing that music has a philosophy above all, Ongunko continues to express himself by bringing together his own favourite melodies from different cultures with dans un autre universe I Opus, Slowhouse Version, Over the Clouds Series, SlowFlashBack and Enharmonica Series.

One of his biggest dreams about music is to prepare his set consisting entirely his own tracks one day. His track trials continue and you hear it when is has been done.
