Face the bear is a trio consisting of some of the foremost folk musicians in Scandinavia, the Swedish musicians Magnus Holmström on nyckelharpa, Tomas "Limpan" Lindberg on guitar and Swedish bosoki, and the Norwegian hardanger fiddle player Britt Pernille Frøholm. 

Each one of them are unique musicians who have contributed in different ways in several different settings, both as soloists and in various groups. Together they have created a modern musical style, based on both traditional and self-composed tunes, with groovy arrangements, heavy riffs, and technical brilliance on their respective instruments.

Magnus Holmström is three times world champion on his main instrument, nyckelharpa. The summer of 2010 he also got qualified for the prestigious National Rikspelman title in Sweden. He plays in the groups Fomp, Storis & Limpan band and La Banda Europa, to name a few.

Tomas "Limpan" Lindberg is one of the most popular guitarists in the folk genre, with Roger Tallroth (known from Väsen) as his major musical role model. He plays, among other things in the groups Storis & Limpan band, Fomp, and the award-winning trio Draupner.

Britt Pernille Frøholm is a hardanger fiddle player from the west coast of Norway, and the traditional music from this area is her musical fundament. She has a MA degree in Traditional Arts from 2006 where she worked with contemporary music and researched new techniques for the hardanger fiddle, and has thus managed to create a distinctive signature in her way to perform on her instrument. She is a versatile musician who during the last few years has released several critically acclaimed cd's in multiple genres, ranging from traditional folk music to free improvisation with jazz musicians. In addition to her solo projects, she plays in the groups LuckyLoop, Friensemblet, Ensemble Epoché, arcticaEclectica, Frøholm/Tillung and Boreas (Scotland/Norway).

Britt Pernille Frøholm is considered one of the finest Hardanger fiddle players in Norway. She is a versatile musician who has released several critically acclaimed albums in multiple genres, from traditional folk music to free improvisation with jazz musicians.

In 2014 Frøholm was named Norwegian Champion at the National Championship Landsfestivalen i Gammaldans.

She is a founding member of the groups MAAR, North Pole Experience, and BOREAS, and a member of Friensemblet in addition to her solo projects.
