477. The Concept of Time & Space

For long have I heard the sages say
That it matters not where I am born,
But where my soul owes its allegiance,
And finally chooses to belong;
But belonging is an entrapment,
To time and space shackled and fettered,
When the food of the soul is freedom,
A journey, endless and untethered;
Thus, complete in the absence of sense
Making nought of what I see and feel,
My soul is free and I journey on
Unmindful of thought to stop the reel;
With neither past, present, nor future --
Nor even burden of space to bear --
Does it matter where my spirit rests
In the concept of how long and where?
