Over a decade of clubland adventures has established Rony Rex as one of Finland’s top dance music tastemakers. Known for his lighthearted approach, the Helsinki-based DJ, producer, and radio host does things a little differently — whether it’s playing a set while taking a cold plunge, having a cow named after him, or going back-to-back with reindeer. His journey has taken him from his homeland’s biggest festivals to international stages — most recently Plastic in Milan, London’s Ministry of Sound, and CREAM in Tokyo.

Championing a sound that has developed into an exploration of house mixed with a rich assortment of club and bass music, while flirting with aesthetics of indie dance and hyperpop, Rony is, it’s fair to say, onto something. While he may be best known for curating global sounds and delivering joyful, high-energy performances in the land of a thousand lakes, Rony hasn’t shied away from reaching an international audience, collaborating with electronic and alt-pop figures such as girli, Ravenna Golden, Nakamura Minami, TT The Artist, GFOTY, Carla Monroe, Madge, and Dances, bolstered with continued global DJ support from industry heavy-hitters like Diplo, Fatboy Slim, and Anna Lunoe.

Resonating beyond the clubs, brands including Yves Saint Laurent and Stella McCartney have picked up Rony's music on the regular. Rony’s international reach also scored an accidental hit in China, where his track "Fucked It Up – Gas Gas Remix" went viral on TikTok, amassing over 100 million streams on NetEase. 

With a vibrant 10 years of shenanigans behind him, Rony is more excited than ever to share his unfiltered self through a vast array of new releases and shows, all while hosting Finland's leading dance music show on YleX — driven by his obsession for the electronic music movement.

DJ desde 92, iniciou sua carreira tocando R&B, Freestyle, Bass Music e Synth Pop em festas no suburbio do Rio de Janeiro. Fez uma passagem pelo Funk Carioca, tocando raps e montagens em equipes de som e casas noturnas por seu estado natal.
Hoje um amante do R&B, Freestyle, Synth Pop, Bass Music, Breakbeat, Melodic Techno e algumas vertentes da House Music

É residente nas festas "Freestyle In Rio" e "Caô, Cerveja e Vinil" promovidas pelo coletivo Sarapuhy Beats, do qual faz parte.
