Hailing from St Petersburg in Russia, Kito Jempere has been recognised by his peers and a wider global audience thanks to an impeccable serie of releases in recent years. It is no surprise neither that Dairmount spotted him already in 2013 with his Confusion EP on Jimpster's Freerange, followed by his Objects album on his own Fata Morgana imprint & solid releases last year on Dirt Crew & Let's Play House. His tracks have been remixed by luminaries as Nachtbraker, Jacob Korn, Roberto Rodriguez, HNNY, Juju & Jordash, OOFT or Ruf Dug...

"Kito & me met in Montenegro last summer at the amazing Southern Soul Festival through our friends Eddy Ramich & Lay-Far. We both played as part of the 4 days event & developed a deeper relationship. Besides our obvious common musical grounds, we both became fathers nearly at the same time, him of Theo, me of Thea. This became our red line in our exchanges" remembers Phil with a grin on the face.

Following his new fatherhood and an important HD crash which led to the loss of many musical works, Kito came back from Montenegro and sat down in his studio, starting from scratch, highly inspired. The 2 tracks you hear today are the results of these sessions of total freedom without prepared sound banks or samples. Kito & Phil took the time last autumn to let the tracks "breathe" and exchanged very naturally on their arrangements & mixdowns, till Kito finalised them in the silent snowy landscapes of the Russian country side in december.

This is simply some of the most personal work to date of one bright & unique individual.

Dan Only returns for his third release on Dirt Crew Recordings with his Deciduous Dubs EP. This release sees the Toronto-native continuing his journey into new musical territories, leaving behind the past and rebuilding his framework from scratch. Armed with Akai Samplers, 90s Romplers and some tried and true Roland classics, this release explores sounds that were informed by Dubstep, Hardcore, House and Techno.

The release opens with “Gateway Shuffle”. The half-time drums and breakbeats link it back to early dubstep and reinforce the ghostly harmonies that glide throughout. Warping basses, deep subs and distant voices welcome you into the sonic world of this release.

“Terraforming” gives you hope in the unknown. The digital pads wash in as the meandering melodies invite you in to take a leap of faith out into the open. A deep sub forms among the all familiar four-on-the-floor kick patterns, providing the foundation needed to lose yourself in groove. By the end, you’re dancing across new ground in a trance-like state.

“It’s Inside You” gets to the root of it all. Stripped back and ever-evolving, the bouncing bass line and shapeshifting landscape contorts around you as this techno groover pummels forward. This one is heady and contemplative and all about self-discovery on the dance floor.

We end our trip with “Macrodose”. Diving through twisting basses and breakbeat science, you’re taken deeper and deeper into the rabbit hole, much farther than you anticipated. There’s a stark contrast between the reality you once knew and the one you are now in. If you can push through the peak you’ll be welcomed by a euphoric afterglow and strong sense of clarity.

Respected dj’s, worldwide music media & retailers have all been deeply impressed by the quality & vision transported by the label founded in spring 2009 by Dairmount & Anja Knupper in Hamburg.
