Touring the world with his Fila Brazilia collective and much loved Pork Recordings stable, Steve has been a man of many pseudonyms and collaborations. In 2014 Steve chose to concentrate on solo work which has so far yielded three fine albums, the most recent of which last year's 'Hemidemisemiquaver' rightly found itself at the top of many 2017 best of lists. Here he turns in a super cool mix touching on dub, funk, disco and tracks featured from the new album. After two decades behind the decks and three albums to his name, Eli continues to be an inspiration for both dancers and DJs alike. We asked him about the scene, his favorite closing track, and what the future holds for the disco evangelist – hint, it might just be a full-length LP with singer-songwriter Nomi Ruiz. Enjoy! We welcome @boogie-cafe-records Alex to the guest mix series this week with a rather delicious selection for your weekend warm up. The label is a UK / Dutch collaboration with label heads Alex Dinham and Chezz at the helm. The label has been a firm favourite of the SB crew since its inception and we've always been digging their sound which regularly pushes the finest disco flavoured deep grooves.

We're excited to see what they've got in store for us in this hour long mix. You'll find some recent favourites as well as some upfront exclusives of new Boogie Cafe releases... 2 new tracks from the Piers Kirwan - Dialogue EP, available in October, as well as a new track from Brine.
