Am 28. Februar 2014 erscheint die Debüt EP von Foresta auf Soundcloud und Bandcamp zum kostenlosen Download! Seit dem "Youth Riddim" arbeitet Foresta an eigenen Produktionen, die stellenweise schon auf Alben unterschiedlicher Künstler erschienen sind, hier gibt es jetzt sechs exklusive Songs, die euch einen Einblick in sein musikalisches Schaffen geben. Foresta ist das "jüngste Pferd" im Urban Tree Music Stall und hat sich, neben zahlreichen anderen Aktivitäten rund um Urban Tree, in den letzten vier Monaten in seinem Studio eingeschlossen, um diese EP fertig zu produzieren. Natürlich warten noch zahlreiche Videos und kleine Aktionen zu den Songs darauf abgeschlossen zu werden… Wir halten euch wie immer auf Facebook auf dem Laufenden!

Zu hören gibt es Hiphop und Beats im breitesten Gewand zwischen Soul, Jazz, Reggae, Dub und Popmusik. Mit an Bord hat er zahlreiche Namen aus eben genau diesen Genres, die in den letzten zwei Jahren seinen Weg gekreuzt oder den Weg in sein kleines Homestudio gefunden haben. Mit Kabaka Pyramid und Protoje hat er zwei der aktuell erfolgreichsten und vielversprechendsten jamaikanischen Reggaeartists an Bord; Berge gehören zum besten was die Berliner und deutsche Popszene zu bieten hat; Forestas Labelkollege Simon Grohé arbeitet gerade selbst am Release seines Urban Tree Debüts "Mamaoerf", Danny Ranks und Longfingah gehören seit Jahrzehnten zum deutschen und österreichischen Reggae- und Dancehall Underground und haben sich weit darüber hinaus ihre Fanbase vor den kleinen und großen Bühnen Europas ersungen; mit Benjie hat er einen Veteranen der deutschen Reggae- und Dancehallszene und weiteren Labelkollegen von Urban Tree mit im Schiff und Jaqee, die bei den Freunden von Rootdown Records ihre Musik veröffentlicht, verbreitet ihre wunderbare Musik jedes Jahr von Dänemark, über Deutschland, bis nach Frankreich und Uganda.

On March 26th, 2014 the Brooklyn Attractors, including Victor Axelrod, Andy Bassford, Larry McDonald, Brett Tubin, Dan Jeselsohn, Eddie Ocampo, Buford O’Sullivan, Anant Pradhan, Luke Penella, and Rich Graiko came together to play a show at the Shapeshifter Lab in Brooklyn, NY. Thankfully the audio was captured by the crew at Shapeshifter Lab and subsequently made available for release. This became “LIVE IN BROOKLYN”, the ATTRACTOR’S sophomore album and a rare hifi glance into the modern underground NYC Jamaican Jazz scene. The following is the unedited audio from that evening.

When Sunshine Coast reggae six-piece, Bearfoot were ready to put together their latest single, the choice was clear; pack up the van, head to Tanuki Lounge in Brisbane's West End, and get producer Paul Bromley to work his magic.
The result? A monster of a reggae track that bounces along, smiling while flipping the bird at the establishment. 'Impolite' solidifies Bearfoot's position firmly in Australian psychedelic reggae, with swirling layers of keys, trumpet and dubby guitar over the steadfast groove.
Following on from their debut single, 'Babylon' back in February, 'Impolite' is an older track that was re-worked and moulded into a new beast of a song that from the first chopped guitar chord through to the tripped-out change and closing with the horn melody, has you firmly in its grips.

This song was released as a single in September 1971, becoming a breakthrough hit for Bill Withers, reaching number six on the U.S. R&B chart and number three on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Horace Andy teams of with Studio One on this cover laying down the definitive version.

A Lee Scratch Perry Production and Jack Frost staple, Cold Weather was released in 1972 on the album Double Seven. The band included guitarist Alva Lewis, organist Glen Adams and brothers Aston "Family Man" Barrett and Carlton Barrett, on bass guitar and drums respectively.
 When the Barrett brothers became Wailers with Bob Marley by 1972, Scratch brought in other top musicians to fill their void. The main Black Ark Upsetters became Boris Gardiner (bass), Mikey Richards, Sly Dunbar, Benbow Creary (drums), Earl "Chinna" Smith (guitar), Winston Wright (keyboards) and Keith Sterling (keyboards).
