The long-awaited first official LP from Michigan-based producer Sango, North, will release digitally on Soulection July 23, 2013 with vinyl to follow. 

Sango’s North brings forth a new sound, one that pulls from soul, rnb, future bass, hip hop and broken beat fusing them together with seamless vocals chops and grooves. North features collaborations from a diverse group of artists like Australia’s Ta-ku, cinematic downtempo producer Atu, nu-soul singer JMSN, story-telling rapper WALDO, newcomer vocalist Brea and Dpat who produced ‘Remember You’ for Wiz Khalifa and The Weeknd. 

Following major worldwide support for his refixes, EP’s and beat tapes from the likes of Brownswood’s Gilles Peterson, KCRW’s Aaron Byrd, and Noisey (VICE) to name a few, Sango is poised to elevate the definition of what “future” music is. 

10+ casual releases later, North combines the best of Sango over the last few years into one seamless musical journey. North is a love story of two people, on a journey, who find better things in themselves when they are with each other. North in Hebrew as noted visually in the album art [that Sango designed himself], representing a sense of “heaven” or “glory” are symbolic to Sango, as he sees everything he does an artist for the greater glory, the greater good, as something bigger than himself.

Summer, an icy drink and some babes at the table, a reference sound, an idea and the mutual respect of a group of guys who made the groove and the bass-­‐‑beat a real religion. This is Heataly: the Italian French Touch scene gathered togheter as a crew and under a single record label with the aim of promoting throughout the home country and abroad all the magic you can find in the derivatives of funk and disco, fed with steroids. The most active producers of the scene and Champagne Records have realized that the time to put a face and an identity to the national French Touch movement had finally arrived and for this reason we present to you Heataly Vol.1, the first work of the collective in the form of a compilation including all that Italy has to say about French Touch and Disco House. Eight tracks, one for each artist, which set the boundaries and draw the colors of the musical genre of reference, highlighting the vision of each of the participants on the topic. Being this a long term project after such first compilation a load of new contents branded as Heataly will be disclosed, among the most diverse and heterogeneous fields, not necessarily related to music releases. News to follow, stay tuned, stay Heataly.

Adam (A Skillz) is a really really really nice guy. Like, so super nice. He is also super into juice. I think you need at least a community college course to operate the juicer in his kitchen. One time he made me a juice of watermelon and carrot and apple and mint and ginger and some other stuff and it tasted amazing. It was the highlight of that particular day. I now have a juicer too but it is not as fancy as Adam's. Get Got is a tune we started in Chichester in England and finished in Melbourne in Australia. I think. We work on a lot of music together so I may be getting confused. It combines elements of records we have previously heard and enjoyed and also some new elements and makes a song out of those things. It works well in a disco-funk-bass-rave environment, though I could also see it helping you workout in the gym. I don't go to the gym so I can't promise anything. Well, actually, I can promise that A Skillz makes amazing juice and also amazing music.
