After Ugly Heroes' 2013 classic self titled LP, Apollo Brown, Verbal Kent and Red Pill are back again with a new EP coming out August 19th.  The new EP features five new songs (including a Murs feature) and 4 bonus track b-sides.  Ugly Heroes will also being touring Europe for a few weeks this August, starting with the legendary Hip-Hop Kemp Festival before hitting London and a number of other spots (all the dates will soon be up on the MMG Event Calendar).  The new EP will first be available digitally with a vinyl edition to follow late in the year. Original artwork by illustrator Paul Grelet.

After getting his start in the region’s beat battle circuit, he built his early fan base with projects like the acclaimed instrumental album “The Voyage Home” and “The Freakstrumental Joint,” a multimedia experience that meshes music, poetry and photography. Work with frequent collaborators Red Pill (“The Kick,” BLAT! Pack/Fat Beats 2013) and Doss The Artist (several projects, including the 2012 Christmas EP “Peace King”) have landed coverage on the likes of Huffington Post, MTV Rap Fix, COMPLEX, and more. In summer 2013, Hir-O teamed up with MTV Hive for an exclusive, customized mix entitled “The Origin Story.” His Mellow Orange debut will be another addition to his genre-bending, innovative body of work.

ORIGINAL Citation (Oct 2014): Rosetta’s Plasma Consortium (RPC) has uncovered a mysterious ‘song’ that Comet 67P/Churyumov-Gerasimenko is singing into space. The comet seems to be emitting a ‘song’ in the form of oscillations in the magnetic field in the comet’s environment. It is being sung at 40-50 millihertz, far below human hearing, which typically picks up sound between 20 Hz and 20 kHz. To make the music audible to the human ear, the frequencies have been increased in this recording.
