Gospel Passages to Reflect Upon When Unsealing the Scroll in Revelation

     (This letter will  be continually updated and re-posted.)
     I always seek what reality is and have respect for the  scientific method of seeking proof of what is true, however, it seems  what is perceived as reality one day is a changing concept and can be  proven quite a different reality on another day.
  
      For example, who thought man could fly across the sky like a bird in  planes that weigh several tons, or that audio and video waves could  travel invisibly through space and provide TV pictures that replicate faraway places with such realism you would think you were there, or that  many gigabits of data could be contained on microchips as small as the  tip of your finger, that we would communicate through cell phones that  bounce off satellites in space, or that we would have computers that  allow us to search entire world libraries of books through the internet  in an instant.
  
     Therefore, I  take that leap of faith the philosopher Kierkegaard wrote of and I  believe it is quite possible there is another dimension unique from the one immediately perceived by our senses, I also think it is simply illogical  that this world and all its wonders were created by chance, however I  delight in the fear of the power of the Holy Spirit who is the Lord  (Isaiah 11: 2) , and realize along with joy there is great  suffering in the world, my peace being established in the faith there is  something within us that is immortal and independent of our bodies.  There are many Gospel passages I could quote here that say what is seen  has been created by what is unseen, for example Hebrews 11:3 and Ro 1:20-23. Also that what is within us is not found in the natural elements of the  powerful wind, earthquake or fire, it is that gentle whisper, that still  small voice, that is the word of God we speak (1 Kings 19:11-12, Rev 19:11-16).


It is important to understand we have a close relationship with God:

    "God is with us" see Isa 8:10, Mt 1:23, and  Zec 8:23.

    See John 10:34: “Is it not written in your law “I have said you are Gods.” and Psalms 82:6.

    Jn  14:12: (Jesus) “I tell the truth, anyone who has faith in me will do  what I have been doing.  He will do even greater things than these,  because I am going to the Father.”

     Romans  8:15-17: “The Spirit himself testifies with our Spirit that we  are God’s children.  Now if we are children, then we are  heirs-heirs of God and co-heirs of Christ.”

     Revelation  21:3:  "Now the dwelling of God is with men, and he will live with  them.  They will be his people, and God himself will be with them  and be their God."

    Hebrews 8:10: "No  longer will a man teach his neighbor, or a man his brother, saying  'Know the Lord', because they will all know me, from the least of  them to the greatest."

    2Co 3:17:  "Now the Lord is the Spirit, and where the Spirit of the Lord is, there is freedom."

    Gal 5:14:  "The entire law is summed up in a single command: "Love your neighbor as yourself."

The Simple Measurement:

      The simple measurement of the Bible is the relationship we have as a free Son and child of God from the Kingdom and New Jerusalem Above, to the Son of Man that is a slave in the Kingdom and Jerusalem from the world below.  Gal 4:21-31 describes these two Jerusalems.

Unsealing the Scroll in the Book of Revelation Spoken Version

      This letter contains a glimpse into the metaphoric  interpretation of the Gospel found in the lyrics of my songs, and  recent Revelation Improvised Talk posts. This letter will also be continually updated and re-posted. 

       It says in the book of Revelation there is a scroll to be unsealed (Rev  Chapter 5:1-5).  So that means there is something in that book – a mystery  to be solved.  To unseal the scroll in Revelation the person is told to  measure (Rev 11:1, Eze 40:3) the temple, altar and worshipers until there is a Victory of the White Horse, Lamb and Word of God (Rev 17:14, Rev 15: 7, Rev 19:11-21) a New Heaven,  New Earth, and New Jerusalem (Rev Chapters 21 and 22, 2Pe 3:13), and a New Order and a New Covenant (Heb 8: 7-13, Jer 31:31-34).  I believe to measure we look at the Gospel as a metaphoric map and resource for that measurement.  For what the Gospel does through metaphor is place a map upon our Spiritual connection to the  world. Metaphoric descriptions contain greater  insight and vision than literal descriptions, and by metaphorically mapping objects of measurement, we bring light and insight into territories that would otherwise be dark and only partially defined.  Jesus Christ himself  said:
 
     "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world." (Mt 13:35, Ps 78:2)

      Man has observed then described the world in literal  descriptions that have been commonly accepted among the people. For  example, who we are exists within a mind that has a conscience or super ego within it, and that who we are also exists within emotions and memories that are sometimes repressed or denied entry into the mind. We can conclude, therefore, that who we are and these objects described are unique in identity.  The Gospel would describe the position of who we are as an eternal Spirit, and that eternal Spirit comes from the Kingdom and Jerusalem above, and the objects described with the words conscience, superego, emotion and memory as the position and place of the Kingdom and Jerusalem from the world below.  
     
Where Man has observed the world and developed a unique vocabulary to describe it, the world itself exists independent of their description and was there for the scientist or psychologist to discover. I believe the Holy Spirit who created all these things in the world to be discovered, (what is seen has been created by what is unseen, (Ro 1: 20-23, Heb 11: 1-3), has left us a metaphoric map of creation in the Gospel that contains more insight than the commonly accepted literal descriptions.
 
      Viewing the Gospel as a metaphoric resource for measurement is not in conflict with the diverse and sometimes conflicting theological opinions about its literal interpretation. You can retain an historical literal opinion about the Gospel’s interpretation and still view it as a metaphoric resource for measurement.  Where psychologists and scientists are declaring what is seen in the world and re-describing it in their own vocabulary, I find Gospel measurements to be much more effective and visual, allowing us to place Biblical stories and insights upon those measurements.

These things may be taken figuratively as two women representing two Covenants
One Covenant is from Mount Sinai, and bears children who are to be slaves
This is Hagar, now Hagar stands for Mount Sinai
And corresponds to the present City of Jerusalem
Because she is in slavery with her children
But Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother
And what does Scripture say?  “Get rid of the slave woman and her son
For the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son”
Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman
But of the free woman
So you are no longer a slave, but a Son, and since you are a Son 
God has also made you an heir

And John clearly says he who comes after me surpasses me, because he was before me
For the bride belongs to the bridegroom who is Jesus
And it is God Almighty who is the Alpha and Omega
The First and the Last, the Beginning and the End
For the one who comes from Heaven and the Kingdom Above is above all
And the one who comes from the earth, belongs to the earth
And speaks as one from the earth
The son of man is from the earth, in the kingdom of heaven below
Jerusalem Above is free, and she is the mother of the Son of God
Jerusalem below is Hagar, she is in slavery, and her children persecute the Son of God
Hagar is the woman in Revelation identified as Babylon
Hagar sits upon the scarlet beast’s images of God’s Word in the human ancestry of Christ
And the human ancestry of Christ can be against us 
If the son of man images of the Word of God do not return to the City of God
For Christ was created in the image of God, and God is the head of Christ
The woman in the book of Revelation is your mind, and the scarlet beast is your body
The son of man is the beast who once was, now is not, and yet will come
In the old kingdom the son of man sits upon a throne, surrounded by 24 thrones
The woman is clothed with the sun (conscience) and moon (emotion) under her feet
The crown of 12 stars represents the Jew disciples worn on her head
The 12 tribes are the Gentiles under the altar that are sealed by the Living God
The devil attempts to divide our waters, tear our clothes, and break our bread
Making the one man into two, dividing God’s people into Gentile and Jew

And corresponds to the present City of Jerusalem
Because she is in slavery with her children
But Jerusalem above is free, and she is our mother
And what does Scripture say?  “Get rid of the slave woman and her son
For the slave woman’s son will never share in the inheritance with the free woman’s son”
Therefore, brothers and sisters, we are not children of the slave woman
But of the free woman
So you are no longer a slave, but a Son, and since you are a Son 
God has also made you an heir

Who is, who was, and who is to come?
Is the War of Armageddon between two kingdoms
We are the Son born by the power of the Spirit, from Jerusalem and the Kingdom Above
The slave son is born in the ordinary way, is from Jerusalem and the kingdom below
Jesus said I will open my mouth in parables 
I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world
And in John 10:34 Jesus says, “Is it not written in your Law, I have said you are Gods?”
If he called them Gods whom the word of God came
Then we are children and Sons of God
Now if we are children, then we are heirs of God, and co-heirs with Christ
For you are the body of Christ, and each one of you is a part of it
And the dwelling of God will be with men, because God is with us
And the Holy Spirit, who is the God of Gods, will reclaim the Lord
And by the power of the Holy Spirit, Jesus is both Lord and Christ
Therefore, John and Abraham are not the Christ
They were mediators, a mediator, however does not represent one party and God is one
And John confesses he is not the Christ, and Jesus says before Abraham I am
And John clearly says he who comes after me surpasses me, because he was before me
For the bride belongs to the bridegroom who is Jesus
And it is God Almighty who is the Alpha and Omega
The First and the Last, the Beginning and the End
For the one who comes from Heaven and the Kingdom Above is above all
And the one who comes from the earth, belongs to the earth
And speaks as one from the earth
The son of man is from the earth, in the kingdom of heaven below
Jerusalem Above is free, and she is the mother of the Son of God
Jerusalem below is Hagar, she is in slavery, and her children persecute the Son of God
Hagar is the woman in Revelation identified as Babylon
Hagar sits upon the scarlet beast’s images of God’s Word in the human ancestry of Christ
And the human ancestry of Christ can be against us 
If the son of man images of the Word of God do not return to the City of God
For Christ was created in the image of God, and God is the head of Christ
The woman in the book of Revelation is your mind, and the scarlet beast is your body
The son of man is the beast who once was, now is not, and yet will come
In the old kingdom the son of man sits upon a throne, surrounded by 24 thrones
The woman is clothed with the sun (conscience) and moon (emotion) under her feet
The crown of 12 stars represents the Jew disciples worn on her head
The 12 tribes are the Gentiles under the altar that are sealed by the Living God
The devil attempts to divide our waters, tear our clothes, and break our bread
Making the one man into two, dividing God’s people into Gentile and Jew

The book of Revelation proclaims there is a scroll that can be unsealed (Rev Chapter 5:1-5) by measuring (Rev 11:1, Eze 40:3) the temple, altar and worshipers until there is a Victory of the White Horse, Lamb and Word of God (Rev 17:14, Rev 15: 7, Rev 19:11-21), a New Heaven and New Jerusalem (Rev Chapters 21 and 22, 2Pe 3:13), and a New Covenant (Heb 8: 7-13, Jer 31:31-34).  I believe the Gospel is a metaphoric resource for that measurement, providing a map of our Spiritual connection to the world.  Jesus Christ himself declared:  "I will open my mouth in parables, I will utter things hidden since the creation of the world" (Mt 13:35, Ps 78:2).

I also believe the Holy Spirit who created all things, (what is seen has been created by what is unseen Ro 1: 20-23, Heb 11: 1-3), has left us a metaphoric map of creation in the Gospel that contains more insight than the commonly accepted literal descriptions. Where psychologists and scientists are declaring what is seen in the world and re-describing it in their own vocabulary, I find Gospel measurements to be more effective and visual, allowing us to place Biblical stories and insights upon the objects to be measured, providing more light and insight into territories that would otherwise be dark and only partially defined by literal descriptions.

What is perceived as reality one day is a changing concept and can be proven quite a different reality on another day.  For example, who thought man could fly across the sky like a bird in  planes that weigh several tons, or that audio and video waves could  travel invisibly through space and provide TV pictures that replicate faraway places with such realism you would think you were there, or that  many gigabits of data could be contained on microchips as small as the  tip of your finger, that we would communicate through cell phones that  bounce off satellites in space, or that we would have computers that  allow us to search entire world libraries of books through the internet  in an instant.

Therefore, I  take that leap of faith the philosopher Kierkegaard wrote of and believe there is another dimension unique from the one immediately perceived by our senses, and that it is simply illogical  that this world and all its wonders were created by chance. I  also delight in the fear of the power of the Holy Spirit who is the Lord  (Isaiah 11: 2), and realize along with joy there is great  suffering in the world, my peace being established in the faith there is  something within us that is immortal and independent of our bodies, not found in the natural elements of the  powerful wind, earthquake or fire, that is the gentle whisper, that still  small voice, the word of God we speak that shines on in the darkness, and the darkness cannot overcome it (1 Kings 19:11-12, Rev 19:11-16, Jn 1:1-5).  

“Here I am, it is written about me in the scroll
I have come to do your will O God” (Heb 10:7, Isa 11, Ro 15:12)
To proclaim the New Order and the New Covenant (Heb 8: 7-13, Jer 31:31-34)
To unseal the scroll in the book of Revelation (Rev 5:1-5)
To measure the temple of God and the altar
And to count the worshipers there (Rev 11:1, Eze 40:3-4)
