‘Khamma-Khamma’ is a tribute to Baba Ramdev, the folk deity of Rajasthan who worked for the upliftment of poor people in society by granting them their wishes. He was a saint of the fourteenth century who is equally venerated by Muslims also as Ram Sa Pir.  Baba Ramdev’s legends are still sung by his followers.

All these happenings inspired again and with the timely developments there evolved ROOTS OF PUSHKAR……a venture dedicated to folk art & culture.

It was a fresh morning of 20th June 2010 when Ravi Kant Sharma, a native to Pushkar Raj,was taken by creative inspirations & he decided to found a company with a pure dedication to folk art & culture. His innermost desire was to uplift Desert Music and its hidden talent with an intention to bring them in front of world through his ambitious venture of ROOTS OF PUSHKAR.

ROOTS OF PUSHKAR is basically a music company which is nothing but an international platform for folk artists to present themselves to the vast music lovers’ community of theworld. With its major aim, ROOTS OF PUSHKAR has gone to the inner limits of far desert culture and have brought the unique talent to the world in form of Chugge Khan, Bhanwri Devi, NathulalSolanki and many more.
