Mary Jane's Last Breakdown

Some songs just seem to fit certain moments in time. Given the current state of the world today Big Something’s ‘Timebomb’ has arrived at a fitting moment in history. "We originally had no idea we would be releasing this song during a global pandemic but now here we are dropping a dance track for the apocalypse a la Prince's "1999" during a quarantine and world-wide shutdown with no clear end in sight.” says lead singer and guitarist Nick MacDaniels.

“I think most of us know we’re going to get through this, but it’s a scary time for a lot of people and it really can start to feel apocalyptic. We originally wrote this song thinking it would just be a fun dance track for our live show, but now the lyrics have kind of come to life in a crazy way,” MacDaniels adds.
 
Big Something is hopeful the track can still provide a fun escape for fans while waiting on better days ahead. "We came into this recording process looking to have fun, write music on the spot. That relaxed, no pressure approach had a huge effect on the vibe of this song. We were able to put ourselves in a headspace to write music that was fun and felt good" adds drummer Ben Vinograd.
