서울예술대학 실용음악과 출신 뮤지션 ‘Rorang’은 “YES”, “Duran Duran”, “Bjork”, “Pat matheny” 등의 영향을 받아 브리티쉬한 느낌과 오리엔탈적인 느낌을 섞어 자신만의 것으로 표현하는 현대 예술가이며 자신의 레이블인 ‘Ro-r music’ 을 통해 다양한 음악적인 시도를 하고 있다.

인트로 곡 ‘Shooting Star’, 타이틀 곡 ‘Fall’, 아웃트로 곡 ‘Party’s over’ .
총 3곡으로 이루어진 뮤지션 ‘Rorang’ 의 첫 솔로앨범 ‘Fall’.
이 세곡은 한가지의 테마로 구성되어 있다. 내가 바라는 이상과 현실 안에서 누구나 겪는 마음과 과정을 짧은 3가지 곡으로 이야기하고 있다.

Rediscovering "Ascension": A Lost Masterpiece from 1982

In the heart of Paris, during the vibrant musical era of the early 1980s, a group of avant-garde musicians gathered in a small, now-defunct studio. Among them was the enigmatic composer known as "Le Maître des Sons" (The Master of Sounds), whose identity remains shrouded in mystery. Together, they embarked on an ambitious project to fuse the sacred art of Gregorian chant with the cutting-edge technology of synthesizers and electronic music, creating a sound that was both ancient and futuristic.
"Ascension" is a transcendent track that transports listeners to a sacred space where ethereal vocals, sung in a constructed language inspired by Latin and Sanskrit, float like mist over a landscape of electronic pulses. Haunting melodies weave through the air like threads of light, while bells and mystery are woven into the fabric of the composition, creating an atmosphere that is both reverent and revolutionary. Yet, due to creative differences and financial constraints, the project was abandoned, and the master tapes were left forgotten in the studio’s archives.
In 2024, a team of music archivists, while digitizing old recordings, uncovered a box of unlabeled tapes. Among them was a reel marked "Ascension – 1982". Through meticulous restoration, this lost gem was revived, revealing a composition that feels both timeless and groundbreaking.
'Ascension' offers a unique blend of ancient Gregorian chant traditions with modern electronic music, creating a soundscape that is both spiritual and innovative. It is a portal to a moment in music history where the past and future intertwined, inviting listeners to experience a journey of ascension through sound.
