Bicep's masterpiece GLUE is one of the best tracks of the past few years. This song hit like a bomb. So I sat down and created my own version of this piece. On the one hand I used the original version and the live version from Printworks to create a special Sound. Enjoy and i hope you like it.

KONCEPT Podcast: 022 - Daryn Steytler

Daryn Steytler kicks off the first podcast for the year for his label. In this podcast he brings inspiration from different events that he has attended and played at from the past year. He starts with a different approach to his set with a House/Dub sound and works his Raw hypnotic modular sound in later, he then ends off with a high temp groove to keep the energy going.

Daryn Steytler is a young Techno producer from Stellenbosch/Cape Town. His underground sound of production has seen this young talent play various stages across the country. Daryn Steytler is also the founder and director of LINKED which is an event company that feeds into the ever growing techno scene in Cape Town. He also runs his own independent imprint/label called KONCEPT which strives on underground culture and RAW/Deep/Hypnotic/Modular/Dub production, inspiration coming from LINKED events and the sound that the event portrays.

Wir sind der Minuskumpel, von dem Mama nicht wollte, dass Du mit ihm spielst. Der aber trotzdem an einem sonnigen Tag an deiner Haustür klingelt und das Treppenhaus hinauf brüllt, um dich nach draußen zu rufen. Mit gekreuzten Fingern versprichst Du, dass Du dich nicht mit ihm rumtreiben wirst und morgen nichts im Hausaufgabenheft steht. Nimm zwei Stufen auf einmal, tritt nicht auf die Ritzen der Gehwegplatten und Essen gibt es erst, wenn der große Zeiger auf der neun ist. 

Hinterher darfst du Mama nicht sagen, woher die Grasflecken auf deiner Hose stammen, oder warum so viel Sand aus deinen Haaren rieselt. Minuskumpel hat zugeschlagen.

Habt Ihr unsere kleine Metapher verstanden? Wir, die ROSA-Gang, dein Minuskumpel aus Greifswald, haben irgendwann mal angefangen, Partykeller zu basteln, Platten zu schieben und Knöppe zu drehen. Und weil Freunde Freunde mitbrachten, schimpften die uns plötzlich „Veranstalter“. Pfff, war uns egal, dafür darf man als „Veranstalter“ Musik in riesigen Zirkuszelten spielen, darf auf betagten Passagierdampfern tanzen und alte Industriehallen aufmotzen. Wie viel Freunde wir plötzlich hatten. Hunderttausend. Mindestens. Wir sind dann in die ROSA WG gezogen, damit alle Platz haben. Eine traumhafte Techno-Wochenend-Wohn-Gemeinschaft. Dazwischen haben wir nie aufgehört, jede tanzflächenartige Ritze zu bespielen. Wir können nicht anders.

Und nun klingeln wir an deiner Haustür. Auf zur nächsten Sause. Wir sind schließlich kein Minuskumpel für eine Nacht.
