Rashad Hardy a.k.a Preacha'Boi was born January 1, 1983 in a small town called Gadsden, AL to Sheila and Cedric Hardy.  Growing up, Rashad attended St. John F. B. H. Church, Anniston, AL where his grandfather, Elder Gilbert Hardy was the pastor.  As a youth, he was an honor roll student, on the basketball team, the track and field team and played the trumpet in the band.
 
At the age of 13, Rashad moved to Birmingham, affectionately known as “The Heart of Alabama”, with only his mom and younger brother.  Before moving to Birmingham, AL, his parents separated, which caused a major shift in his behavior and activity involvement.
 
Coupled with the separation of his parents, was the pressures of his new surroundings in Birmingham, which gave him exposure and access to a whole other worldly element.  Trying to find his way as a young man he stopped making the honor roll and quit all athletic and musical participation in school. With his newly found freedom and idle time, he started hanging out with people that were accustomed to unhealthy and ungodly lifestyles. Truancy, drug abuse, criminal activity, illicit sex would eventually jeopardize this young man’s future.
 
It would not be until 2013, after his second major car accident, one of which was life threatening, that young Rashad Hardy would realize the calling placed on his life and understand why God had bestowed such grace and mercy on him over an entire decade of sin.  Allowing The Lord to clean him up from the inside out, Rashad would go on to walk into his destiny and transform into the person we now know as Preacha ‘Boi.
 
Preacha'Boi is a motivational music writer, a Christian music composer, host and an inspirational speaker with creative roots from hip-hop, old school soul/R & B and a plethora of gospel artists. His unique sound and distinct delivery, gives his listeners a positive message in music, with a crisp and clean lyrical wordplay about The Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. This national recording artist has traveled across the U. S. as an open brochure, walking advertiser, and promoter for the Kingdom of Heaven.  Allowing God to refurbish, restore, and revitalize him to Bridge the Gap; also the title of his album, for others to be set free. Which was most prevalent on the BTG Promotional Tour, where Pastor Wess Morgan allowed him to exercise his gift and so many lost souls were found during his “Recovery Fest 2015”.

Alongside his personal tour, he had the opportunity to join Canton Jones, Uncle Reece, & T-Dogg for the “Miracle Movement Tour” in selected cities around Florida. Not to mention he was a part of the opening cast for Canton Jones’ Inaugural church service held at his church Free Life Experience in Jonesboro, Ga. He was in full attendance of the 2015 Megafest presented by Bishop TD Jakes in Dallas, Texas cultivating his walk with God.  This young man has already appeared on national television for the Dr. Dorinda Clark-Cole show and also “Kingdom Talk Ministries” TBN sitcom.  Preacha’Boi graced the Red Carpet at the Dove Awards in Nashville, Tennessee and also participated in the 30th Annual Stellar Awards weekend event held in Las Vegas, Nevada.  He has also had the honor to minister a selection LIVE on the Fox 6 "Good Day Alabama Show".  Selma, Alabama has taken a real liking to Preacha’Boi’s ministry due to honoring him the opportunity to minister on the historical Edmund Pettus Bridge during the annual Jubilee and also share the stage with Deitrick Haddon in his very 1st Prayer March and concert. He became a part of the opening cast for Pastor Shirley Ceasar, Tye Tribbett, & Alexis Spight alongside many others at the 4th Annual Gospel Explosion held in Miami, Fl.  Which was presented by Flo’Rida and Strong Arm Records.  He continues to inspire and encourage all of those that have an ear and heart for God’s word through song.
