Im a Nightclub manager from melbourne, currently fighting cancer. I currently have Non Hodgkins Lymphoma. I have found that playing music from all genres & trying to record a mix has helped me through the hard times of Cancer especially during long chemo sessions. Most of my mixes maybe all over the place but I enjoyed making it & thus I post it. You dont have to like any of what I mix together but its my way of dealing with this shit so please respect that. Nathan Hawes AKA KESMAR is a 23 year old Sydney based producer and songwriter. Following his debut EP ‘Up To You’ released in March 2019 Nathan took a step back to hone in on his songwriting and production. After a heavily collaborative first release, he felt a need to develop in solace and refine a sound - particularly on the production front where he had a clear aesthetic vision inspired by era’s gone by.
Amongst the madness of 2020 Nathan found himself forced back into the home studio like many artists have been. The result of that time saw the creation of a new collection of work - a collection that has strong ties to minimal late seventies yacht rock with references to ‘Christopher Cross’ &amp; ‘The Alessi Brothers’ - that sonic touchpoint extends to the wider aesthetic of the project, with videos and artwork all created by Nathan himself. Nathan wears his inspiration on his sleeve and the result is a magical trip through a seemingly simpler and blissful time.
