Van Gogh's 'Almond Blossom' is one of my favorite pieces of art. It was painted in Southern France in the spring of 1890, in response to a letter from Vincent's brother Theo announcing the birth of a son. The brothers were close, and the child was named after Vincent. The painting represents a surge of happiness and energy in the generally depressed life of Van Gogh, who killed himself later that year.

The jubilant awakening that is spring was the main idea behind this piece. It starts from a place of relative stasis, and slowly snowballs energy before tumbling to a messy and abrupt conclusion. 

The video is comprised of shots I took over the last few weeks. Think of it as my first (and probably last) vlog haha :)

This piece has a partner, predictably titled 'Dawn', which I am working on now. It takes things in quite a different direction, and I'm excited to have people listen to them both!

Dusk tends to be nostalgic,  maybe even melancholic for me. As everything softly melts down into the horizon, I usually find myself swimming around in a pool of indulgent lugubriousness. That all sounds quite bad but it's really so good, and I think most people can relate to it on some level.

The visual is a composite of photos I took of Winnipeg and Montreal skylines. Shot on a Canon G7 X, edited in Photoshop.

Dawn has so much energy. The air tastes new and the hush of night blooms through a gentle buzz into the messy bustle of day. A delicate moment where emotional peace and ecstatic ambition coexist. Love it.

A recent track from ACC's Youtube. About a month ago (when I'm uploading this here I mean), to be more specific. This definitely sounds a bit similar music from the Yume Nikki fangame .Flow as a "friend of mine" pointed out.

I would like to thank all the people that follow me for no good reason, I'm glad we can all at least enjoy ACC's music together.
