This is a detailed showcase of my music.

My main genre is dubstep.

I also experiment with a lot of other genres, including hip-hop, ambient, house, and drum and bass.


Song 1:

Smoke Signals
Release date: Feb 11th 2012 (Dubstep.net feature Feb 11th 2012)

This song was released exclusively by Dubstep.net on the 11th of  February 
It was my first true "Rostik" song of 2012.
For the first part of the year I was developing on my sound, and experimenting with a lot of different genres.
(This song is now and will always be for free download here and on dubstep.net)


Song 2:

Braille - Feel it (Rostik Remix)
Release date: Feb 11th 2012

My first -real- attempt at hip-hop.
The original song by Braille displayed extremely emotional lyrics, for that 
reason, I decided to recreate a "Rostik" sounding song with a hip-hop beat
and authentic strings and 'old-school' hip-hop samples.

Song 3:

Arctic Sunset
Release Date: Aug 1st 2011 (Dubstep.net feature December 2011)

In the song 'Arctic Sunset' I tried to combine my 2 major styles and influences together into a song, that complimented each structure, whilst showing an obvious contrast between the two unique genres.
The song also featured a 'lo-fi- outro, which made a direct contrast to the fade-in intro, which displayed sampling and custom-made synth work.
This song was featured on dubstep.net 2 months after the original release.
(The song has almost reached the 1000 download limit on my soundcloud, but will remain on dubstep.net for free download)


Song 4:

It's not a lake, It's an ocean.
Release Date: Jan 21st 2012 (Preview clip released)

During the months of December and January (and earlier) I experimented with a lot of house style melodic club music.
It involved using the styles that I normally use, but trying to keep the standard club/dance beat.
(This song is currently incomplete, but is still very much so in progress)


Song 5:

One day, things will all be different.
Release date: Oct 30th 2011 (Dubstep.net feature Dec 2011)

"One day" Is easily the best 'Rostik' song that i've composed/produced to date.
It featured my first original vocals from singer songwriter 'SmoothiesForMe'
I held a remix competition for the song, attracting around 200 participants who each   submitted remixes, with their own unique take to the song.
It was my first feature on dubstep.net. They directly contacted me on soundcloud and asked permission to upload the track to their website and other networking websites.
The song was not released for free download, because I wanted to 'touch up' the song in the future when I was better at mixing and mastering my music.
In the future, the song will be released on what can be expected to be, a free ep.

Song 6:

Vexed 
Release Date: Aug 13th 2011

Vexed was Written by Divided By Zero and I.
The forefront to the song was produced by him (hence Divided by zero ft. Rostik)
It displayed piano and synth work by me.
(The song will be free download on my soundcloud and Divided By zeros souncloud respectively)


Song 7: 

One day
Release Date: Dec 25th 2011

Make the floodlights dance is a collaboration effort/ side project between me and dubstep producer "Roxa"
We reworked the song 'one day' and released it, as well as the announcement of our side project on December the 25th 2011.
The acoustic version used the same chord sequences as the original dubstep mix that I created, but used Roxa's vocals and guitar playing.
We both wrote guitar chords via Skype calls and managed to re-write "one day" into an acoustic piece.



I am currently furthering my abilities in all of the aforementioned genres and styles.

I will also be releasing a -free- ep at some point during the year, including song "one day, things will all be different." and many others. The ep will also be featuring the artwork of my Artist, and fellow producer WeSpeakProse.
