Growing up with two sisters I was brought up on House and Disco as it made them both serenely happy, especially before a night out! I wanted to create a mix dedicated to my sisters and to all the Soul Sisters's out there grinding on a daily basis, doing what you believe in. Respect to you.

When creating an exclusive new track for his <i>DJ-Kicks</i> mix, Maceo Plex decided to deviate slightly from his comfort zone. “I’m kind of known for a couple of big disco records and some really deep bassline house tracks," he says. "This track is much darker, but still pretty sexy and soulful. The whole thing is dark and futuristic.” Maceo's new track "Galactic Cinema" anchors his mix, which is available April 30th on !K7.

A two track EP featuring both new Maceo Plex tracks from <i>DJ-Kicks</i> ("Galactic Cinema" and "Mind On Fire") will be available on Beatport on April 15th.

Biography "Roter & Lewis"
"Sound creates music" – The sound created by Roter & Lewis is at all times groovy, heavy on the bass, explosive and always innovative.
They have been a perfect duo for years (DJ & Producer), a duo who creates their own sound which ranges from deep to techhouse.
This can be clearly heard through their releases among other things on Kittball, Great Stuff, Strictly Rhythm, Bitten Rec., Thirtyonetwenty, Toolroom Rec., Nervous Rec., King Street Sounds (Nite Grooves), Stylerockets, Kiddaz FM, Sullivan Room Rec., Witty Tunes and many more.
In 2014 they released their first album "Good Morning People" (Stylerockets / Kiddaz FM) in which no common thread could be found because they let off steam in some musical experiments.
Last year the guys turned fully back to their musical roots which can be heard in there Remix for "Dennis Ferrer - Underground is my home" & “Cevin Fisher – The Message” and also in their new releases.
Their burning sound echoes through the clubs and festivals around the world.
There will be more "follow-up" releases on well-known and major labels in 2017 as well as new releases that will increase their status as excellent producers even more.
Whether in the studio or live in the clubs around the world, "the Groovy-sound makes the music" and that remains the motto of Roter& Lewis.
