The latest release on Madlochs 3rd Avenue imprint finds the label showcasing the 32nd edition of their popular Three Of A Kind series. These VA EP releases feature three artists, each contributing two original tracks, resulting in a unique blend of sounds that has become a hallmark of the Sound Avenue family. For the 32nd edition, the label invites Sebastian Blanco from Argentina, Silishteanu from Romania, and Reuben Lowe from the United Kingdom.

O sacred head sore wounded 

Based on a thirteenth century poem and a sixteenth century melody, Johann Sebastian Bach arranged this marvellously moving hymn that helps us to contemplate the ultimate sacrifice the Lord Jesus made for us as He gave His life to free us from the pains of sin and death . It is a particularly poignant piece to play when we are going through times of strain or loss. 
Sue Perks is the soloist; other musicians continue to improvise where the hymn leaves off, culminating in a moving cello solo.
