Tending Tropic - Post Italo Disco Rave

French-born and Barcelona-based, Jo Kazan lands on Espacio Cielo with Ride of the Bat, a double A-side that moves between shadowy club euphoria and cinematic nostalgia. The title track is a proper dancefloor weapon - brooding, driving, and tailor-made for late-night indie dance rituals. JG Outsider dials up the EBM intensity, turning it into a full-blown sonic missile that leaves no survivors.

On the flip, Whispers of the Southlands trades brute force for emotion, unfolding like a melancholic daydream powered by shimmering arpeggios. @roamrecordings label head @jasonpeters returns with his latest single, We Used to Watch the Sunrise — a nostalgic and emotionally charged track blending warm electronic melodies, acid-tinged rhythms, and an arpeggiated bassline. Anchored by Jason Peters’ own vocals, the song plays like a modern rave ballad, echoing the sentiment: "I remember when we used to watch the sunrise."

@neuromancer & @radondo slow things down with a lush, mid-tempo interpretation. Their remix leans into moody 80s nostalgia, infusing the track with a goth-tinged, neo-new wave aesthetic.

Radondo’s Chance EP — with Kay-Chi remix out on 6th August — features two standout tracks, “Doubt” and“Leather,” which perfectly capture his signature dark sound, weaving together his Italo, EBM, and New Beat influences with finesse.

We’re thrilled to welcome one of our truly favourite producers to the label once again: Kay-Chi. He brings his signature fast, chug-infused sound to his interpretation of Leather. Yet again, he’s delivered another masterpiece, adding to the growing body of work on the label and continuing to be an integral part of the Volition family.

Radondo - Leather (Kay-Chi Remix) [Volition]

Our friend from Madrid who did us the honor of a tremendous remix of "Rockets" from Gatos Negros (Rotten City Files 001). "Granada / Liberación" remains true to his sound full of post-rock harmonies, but this time with a darker touch, resulting in a hybrid mixture with Balearic feeling and gloomy atmosphere.
