After “Refined”, their first release on Thisbe Recordings back in April 2021, Radial Gaze are back on the Berlin-based independent label with their brand new EP “Tetra Seeds”.
The digital version of the EP includes 4 original tracks and 4 remixes by Dominik Marz, Balam, Semodi and label owner Pyrame. With 3 out of the 4 originals, as well as 3 of the remixes available on vinyl.
The two St-Petersburg-based brothers , Andrey – DJ, electronic musician and producer, mixing and mastering engineer – along with Stas – sound designer, guitarist, and theatre director – stay true to their identity : In “Tetra Seeds”, they deliver an irresistible blend of slow techno, ethnic-infused electro, and percussive wonders.
Printed on a yellow vinyl, the 12″ is a limited edition with astonishing artwork by Maksim Cherny.

JackWasFaster - Wrong Speed #2 - Rotten City Edits

Columbian producer Paulo Olarte has been a long time friend and affiliate of the "Galaktika" imprint having been releasing with the label since it’s early years a decade ago amongst further output for the likes of Liebe Detail and Diynamic. Here we see him back on Galaktika with his new long player, set for release in September via a special vinyl edition with a digital release to follow.  Across the "El Escandalo De Tus Ojos" LP Olarte heavily gives priority to his roots via a running thread of Latin vocal stylings from the man himself throughout, opener ‘Sombras En La Noche’ lays the focus on cosmic synth leads, stabby bass hits and organic percussion before ‘Love En On’ eases into the hypnotic vocals alongside a raw acid tinged feel and sparse rhythms.  Throughout the long player Olarte stirs in a bunch of interludes in between the longer tracks in the shape of ‘Roces’, ‘Las Chicas Beautiful’ and ‘El Barrio’ touching a soft lo-fi texture while the core is directed squarely at the dance floor. ‘La Queen’, ‘Solo Dejate Llevar’ and ‘No Puede Ser’ make up the latter and see Paulo deliver a low-slung and playful style of house fuelled by bright synth melodies, hooky vocal licks and natural percussive shots.  Paulo Olarte’s ‘El Escandalo De Tus Ojos’ LP is out on Galaktika 9th September (Vinyl) and 10th October (Digital) 2016.

GYRL is about contrast. It is about the fragility of binary concepts and the beauty of the undefinable.
It is about something grey.
GYRL is about challenging the man-made, the artificial. 
There is no black and white. But there is music.
GYRL is a story about two people coming together through music.
If you look close enough, black and white start crumbling and falling apart. 
Sometimes they become one.
"Mastodon" lays the foundation for what is to come. It is a decelerated journey into the dark heart of electronic music. 
A trip to sonic caves and ruins, made out of slowly-evolving synthesizer lines and raw four to the floor beats. 
The EP is about the clash between the industrial and the archaic. About construction sites and the soon to be forgotten. 
The real and the unreal. "Mastodon" is about posing the question: How can you make it all fit together? 
It is a quest for something grey.
