“Rounded is a proper junglist. If you've been lucky enough to catch any of his tear-out sets around his native Bristol and beyond, that will be immediately evident. But that's only a small part of his story.

A third-generation New Age traveller, who was brought up partly in France and partly in the UK by a punk and hip-hop head stepdad and a mum who bumped breaks, reggae and ragga, Rounded brings all kinds of influences to the table.

And that feeds into his open-minded approach today. Acquiring his first set of decks at thirteen, he initially spun what ever he could get his hands on, before the likes of Congo Natty, Serial Killaz, Chopstick Dubplate and Aries caught his attention. But, even now, he's more than capable of rolling out reggae, dub, garage, grime – or even a blend of all the above – alongside the DnB and jungle he's becoming known for.

His perspective on the purpose of music is a little different from the norm as well. For him, it's always been a medication and a therapy as much as a source of entertainment. It's played a vital role in his life, and a key part of his mission is using music to help others.

That's reflected in the values of his brand Jungle Juice, which he started with his friend Alfie, where he wants to help up-and-comers accelerate their progress and avoid the pitfalls and obstacles that he had to contend with. Where some people want to pull the ladder up behind them, he wants to build an escalator.

Over the next couple of years, we'll be able to witness many of his plans come to fruition. Having studied music technology and production at college, he's added extra skills to his arsenal alongside his already formidable music knowledge and deejay abilities. As his original jungle and reggae productions hit the road, he'll be stepping up to a whole new level.

With his unique set of influences, his community-building approach and his undeniable skills hitting their apex, this is prime time for Rounded. You're not going to want to miss what's coming.”
