First up, SECRET SOULS load up a brilliant minimal affair with very high production standards; depth of sound is key here, which keeps your mind locked as the song rolls forward. MALIK FAQUIR is next up with his intense rework, almost industrial in build and delivering a stompingly dangerous force. ATJAZZ Completes the project with a retro-esq sound, layering modular synths with his usual melodic blips and buzzes, creating an uplifting spacey vibe throughout.

@MalikFaquir is an artist, music producer, music performer (DJ) & label owner (Sala Estimulante) born and raised in Mozambique with hopes of sharing sonic memories, as much as tales of complexity and purpose. I permit to the world of music to engulf the substance of my daily motions. The prologue to this story of creative production has its placement in a Mozambican group known as K7s united, which later inspired the beginning of my role as the owner and curator to an underground label – @SalaEstimulante. He may also be recognised through alter-egos such as sweetmufin, MaIk xD, & duo project with Nim - No Rest for the Spacemen (NRFTS), which I have also alternated since the very beginning.

After eight years of steady practice and refinement, it took him a single year of focused perseverance to catalyse my integration into the Johannesburg underground scene, giving him the chance to migrate from venues such as The Backroom and The Press Club in Maputo, to Edenvale’s Retro Room, Jynx in Fourways, Newtown’s And Club, Maboneng’s The Living Room, Midrand’s Truth and a good handful more.

With the guidance and support of fellow artists he has been able to distribute my releases across the globe, having worked with a small multitude of international and local labels: Inusual Series (Spain), East Project (England), Sickest Sound (Mozambique), Zero Signal Records (Japan), Apnea (France), Deep Tech Records (USA), Hello Strange (Russia), Suid Tronica, MudPie Records, Round Robin Recordings (South Africa), Caranday (Argentina), and Superordinate Dub Waves (UK).

We are extremely happy & blessed to share this 1 hour podcast of only Original Music from the man himself.
