Sedated Sunset - melancholy opening with musical elements introducing themselves quite rapidly, droning, soft sounding bass line, initial drum sequences blooms into a complex pattern while bass line repeats (pattern seen in first song), formulaic approach to constructing songs with parts flowing in and out of each other, not afraid to make the listener listen to more than what’s on the surface (also a pattern), 2nd drop comes back in hard, songs end with an allusion to the desolate intro.

Courtesy of Midtown House, “Sedated Summer” is a three-track EP that explores producer JCROW’s dynamic house palette. The body of work is a product of unprecedented house influence from London and Chicago, two places JCROW calls home. Contrasting musical themes create a juxtaposition of feeling that serve the togetherness of a dance floor just as well as a solitary journey.
