Prolific producer Macarie is certainly not your typical Romanian artist. His wide musical influences cover 90’s house, breaks, acid and of course his take on the new school minimal sound of his homeland. For such young years Macarie’s productions bristle with the swagger and confidence of an artist much more seasoned. 

This assuredness in his skills has meant he has already amassed a seriously impressive discography that includes appearances on Simbioza, Alter Hour, Kontent, and his own Midas Touch imprint. As well as the hats Macarie wears as an artist his talents also lie with his A&R skills for his label. Since the first release he has welcomed a range of domestic artists rising and established.

Moving onto Macarie's InSession recording for us and as you might expect this explores the various facets of his sound. From vocal house to house bangers there is always a few cure balls such as the Basement Jaxx anthem ‘Fly Life’. Not necessarily what you might expect from a ‘minimal’ artist, but this is the beauty of artists such as Macarie where deviating from the plan is always part of the plan.
