Being a production line of carefully crafted composition with a meticulous production standard, Calyx & Teebee have delivered yet again. And after dominating the Beatport Top 100 with their most recent single ‘A Day That Never Comes / Snakes & Ladders’, they won’t be applying the brakes anytime soon, especially in the lead up to their greatly anticipated second album on the Ram imprint.

Back on vocal duties, Calyx demonstrates the pair’s multi-dimensional approach to beat making. With plucky percussion relaying you through bouncing subs and a drivingly solid bassline, it defines their vast repertoire of style. They’re not scared to dip into unfamiliar territories, with Calyx’s cool vocals sitting on top of lulling guitar rhythms to provide the first part of a diverse and brilliantly crafted record. 

With an album laying just out of reach, each single is bringing us closer and closer to the inevitable. All four tracks prove their still a formidable force to be reckoned with; this LP will only emphasise that fact.

DrumandBass.FM is a project started by the founders of the established webradio Dubbase.FM.
With years of experience within the bassmusic-scene and the help of DJs, listeners and promoters we created a playlist within a class of its own.

In about one year of hard work we listened through around 1000 tracks, added and postprocessed them. We put a lot of emphasis onto the subgenres Liquid Drum and Bass, Neufounk, Jump Up and Jungle in order to provide enough variation for the listener.

Because Drum and Bass has a long history we were able to create a perfect mix out of oldschool as well as more recent tracks.

Everyday our team is engaged in searching for new tracks. If you like one of the songs played, you can easily look up the track and artist name on our automatically updated tracklist on the website.

It’s always good to have some connection to the original track on a remixes EP, and on this EP Mr K-Motionz & Nightfang have gone in on a VIP to be this EP’s reference point.And what a VIP it is, critics like to say how VIP’s are just the producer mindlessly rearranging a track, churning it out to make a quick buck. NOT with this VIP.

There is real attention to detail here, that piercing main bassline cuts through with maximum impact, a well cut snare rides along with the sub bass as the kick thuds along forcing you look around the party to see if everyone is pulling the same bassface you are........and they all are. This is one of those tracks that has the power to pull you away from the smoking area and onto the dance floor.

This one is for the skankers.
