Roxy Milan is a NYC based DJ and Producer who specializes in the sounds of Tech House and Techno. Her early beginnings go back to Southern California where she grew up listening to the sounds of classic Reggae and Dub artists such as Bob Marley, Augustus Pablo, The Upsetters, and Peter Tosh to name a few. It was the simplicity of the rhythm and grooves that she loved the most about Reggae. It was simple and straight forward, but with so much meaning and purpose. This appreciation would eventually spark an interest into the methods of making music and the impact that it has on it's listeners. Throughout the years as she studied and absorbed more and more music, the interest became a desire, and it was very clear that she wanted to get involved. She wasn't sure where to start, but she knew she had to start somewhere.

In 2012 on a trip to Miami, Roxy was introduced to the massive sounds and culture of Electronic Dance Music. To be specific, it was the rugged basslines, distorted kicks, and infectious melodies of Tech House that she fell for. She was enamored with the various elements of dub, techno, and house all wrapped into one. She knew at that moment that it was time make a move and pursue a career in the industry, so she packed up and moved to New York City. 

Since coming to NYC she has developed her craft under the tutelage of several experienced DJs and producers such as DJ Esquire (2013 US DMC Champion), Statik Link, DJ Noumenon, Alan Nieves, and DJ Excess among others. Thus, giving her an expansive skill set, whether she's doing cuts and power mixing vinyl, or presenting originally produced techno tracks into the set of an underground dance party. 

Her mentor, the legendary Lee Evans (producer for Marc Anthony, Afrika Bambaataa, Cyndi Lauper and more) has been instrumental in schooling Roxy on production and recording techniques. Thus, giving her an expansive skill set to utilize whether she's doing cuts and mixing vinyl or presenting originally produced techno tracks into the set of an underground dance party.

As a Producer, her focus is to produce Tech House and Techno tracks that give a nod to the numerous genres of music that has influenced her along the way. From bouncy and playful Reggae percussion styles and classic New York House basslines, to the energetic tight kicks of Detroit Techno Music, Roxy's sound is without a doubt unique, vibrant, and most importantly, original. 

As a DJ, Roxy has spent countless hours perfecting her mixing and blending techniques which is abundantly clear in all of her mix releases and live performances. Whether it's a big room in Miami or a dark and dungey warehouse in NYC, Roxy can seamlessly switch styles on the spot while still keeping energy levels high and track selection relevant to her audience. Roxy has already started making a name for herself in the DJ scene with playing at notable venues such as Marquee New York, Up & Down, Provocateur, Cavalli Club Miami, Beautique, and TBA Brooklyn, just to name a few.
