Following a fundraiser event in Leeds, we are releasing this album to continue our efforts to help those affected by the war. All proceeds will be spilt 50/50 between Help Ukraine Center and the ActionAid Ukraine Appeal.

Psychiatrists On Safari - CLIP

Hummingbird by BPZ label have curated a tasteful package this summer in the form of their Invasive Species remix release. The original Invasive Specie album saw label founder Benjamin Phillipe Zulauf turn out a new moniker, Fork-Tailed Woodnypmh, an alias seeing him utilising an array of percussion instrument recordings he has collected throughout the years. The digitally released five tracker will land this August, and includes stellar remixes from Inkipak, Roya Brehl, Kindimmer, Andre Gardeja, and Violett, and whilst the music speaks for itself, the release also puts the spotlight on the pressing issues of a modern day problem as we race to make a brighter future before our climate faces irreversible change.

For our next chug fwen we introduce Roya, local favourite and one of the heads behind Leeds’ new alternative event space The Imaginarium. The Imaginarium is a particularly special venue - a symbol of the re-emerging underground scene post covid. These local intimate settings (Wharf Chambers, Outlaws Yacht Club, The Imaginarium to name only a few) are beloved places for the music, art and cultures we love. Cherished spaces at a time of need providing community and belonging for those that need it.

Aside from this Roya is a super talented DJ in her own right. She’s played Holistic Missile and Beatherder as well as the legendary Golden Lion in Todmorden. Locally Roya has played all over, but you can catch her regularly on Narr Radio. Roya is another beloved member of our amazing local scene and we are honoured to add to the series with this mix from her xx

Today we welcome @royabrehl to our mix series. Roya is a Leeds-based DJ and producer, playing a plethora of deep electronic sounds.

Over the years Roya has been an integral part of the Leeds music and nightlife scene. As a co-founder and resident at the Schwein parties, Roya played regularly at Wire and other respected venues across the city. Along with three previous Schwein residents, they are now part of The Off Licence, who have invited a diverse range of respected artists to their line-ups.

Roya is also is part of the team behind The Imaginarium, a new creative arts space and venue in Leeds, and is founder of the Hideous Things mix series.
