He is put into deep sleep for the extended journey. The body sleeps but the subconcious remains active, processing ideas, contemplating the theoretical and the practical.
As the journey lengthens, his mind turns to thoughts of humankind and our place in the universe. As the years pass a realization begins to emerge, that we are not the 
center of all, that we are but a moment in time. While at first, grasping and understanding this idea is frightening, once he has accepted this profound truth, he is able to turn 
his attention to ways of improvement and how best to fit into the evolving universe.The journey is long and there is much to think upon.

This story/song is about approaching the edge of the unknown universe and pushing beyond. There is chaos at the edge as we push through. Giant strides are taken as we break the veil and then we turn to view the almost angelic panorama of the universe we have left.  Ahead, nothing at first. And then in the infinitesimal distance, the faintest of light. We move forward.

With the passing of my Father last month, I endeavoured to make a song fitting his character, but instead realized I could not even imagine an idea that would pay proper tribute to him.
This song now, is not about him in particular but rather a feeling of loss and mixed emotions.
I hope that in the future I will have the ability to express a respectable and appropriate tribute, in musical terms for this unique individual, my Father. 


Even Robots Have Rainy Days

Times change, ideas change, and so does the music. To make pleasing enjoyable music was the original idea, now the music has become the expression of thought, the expression of emotion. Painting sound-scapes with music is the ultimate goal. To bring the listeners on journeys of discovery, imagination, fear and sorrow. Take what you can from each song, but mostly, enjoy the ride, and have fun with it.
