It is a rare occurrence to hear a song with a bassline as catchy as its counter melody line. 'Haiti' from Arcade Fire's debut album, 'Funeral' is one of the select few, which achieves this feat.

For this edit, I accentuated the danceability of the track by layering the drums with 808 samples, beefing up the bassline and sprinkling some extra bits of percussion throughout. This rearranged edit includes only instrumental and backing vocal sections, thus creating, the Mr Myth dub mix of Haiti.

Peggy Gou is one of electronic music's biggest celebrities. Her catchy productions, high-intensity DJ sets and personal style have propelled her to the upper echelons of stardom—a journey that's brought an equal number of fans and critics. "There are a lot of assumptions about me," she tells moderator Souhayla Ou-Oumar during a live RA Exchange at last year's Amsterdam Dance Event. 

Over the course of the 50-minute conversation, which includes a Q&A with the audience, the label owner, producer, DJ and fashion designer spills the beans on her decision-making process, how she deals with haters and maintaining authenticity. Emphasising the power of saying no, the Korea-born artist explains how she executes her creative philosophy by being selective on projects. "I have a great team who follow my vision but basically, I'm a control freak." She says she's never had a manager and does all social media herself because "I don't like it when people tell me what to do."

Royal Yellow began as a result of Mark O'Brien's experimentation with electronic music, following the break-up of his previous band Enemies.

In 2018 O’Brien linked up with acclaimed Irish producer Bantum to create the debut single ‘Hazeldene’. It has since racked up over 800,000 streams on Spotify and was featured in the BBC/Hulu series Normal People. In 2019 O’Brien worked with SENU to create follow-up ‘Aruba’. 

Royal Yellow's third single 'May The First' was released on that same date in 2020. It features a pitched-down, trip-hop inspired vocal from Lisa Hannigan, and received its first broadcast on Annie Mac's 'Future Sounds' show on BBC Radio 1.

The artist is currently recording a body of work for release in 2020.
