Matt is a composer and guitarist, and an ad hoc recordist of environmental sounds, noise, and street sounds.  His improvisational guitar performances oftentimes incorporate random detuning of the guitar which is an attempt to impose a focus on sound and texture.  

Matt started in garage bands at 16, played regional bars in rock/pop bands in the southwest Florida area, and later added studies in jazz and classical guitar.  He then focused on composition at USF Tampa, Florida, and completed his Master’s degree in composition at Princeton University.   Matt has created over six cd's of original music, collaborated with film and video artists, and various works have been presented nationally and internationally.
His piece Collage (for percussion and electronic soundtrack) is published by HoneyRock, with the score available through HoneyRock and J.W. Pepper. 

Notable influences include: Jimi Hendrix, Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Beethoven, Penderecki (experimental period only), Xenakis, Stravinsky, Hindemith, Bartok, Debussy, Carter, Cecil Taylor, and The Art Ensemble of Chicago's live improvisations.  Time period qualified influences: early-mid 1970s John Mclaughlin and Yes.

Matt also works with the experimental group Sound Janitor he founded with Greg Diamond.

Han and Al, a.k.a. Allie Hoffmeister and Hannah Dommeyer (maiden name Staack) are sisters from Minneapolis, MN who have a passion for music. They love Jesus, they love music, they love writing songs. Simple sounds of lonely hearts are playing in my band, hope you like what you hear. New songs just recorded and uploaded called "Sunshine or Rain", "Japanese Blue" and  "If (...In The End)".
Maybe has for the past few years recorded songs at home and released them here on different sites on Internet. Five of them you will find on the imaginary albums SO SPOKE THE OLD MAND and ACOUSTIC SHORT STORIES. Maybe´s history prior to this: Released the last album called SONGS FROM A LIVING ROOM, in 2006. This was the third album since the debut called MAYBE. The album was recorded in a living room in Oslo, Norway and contains 12 songs, all composed by maybe me. Some of the songs you can hear right here on myspace. The rest of the songs you can download at www.maybemusic.net. And if you feel like it, listen to the two previous maybe albums on the same site; The debut double album MAYBE and the second album called ENVELOPE OF TIME.
