this acoustic folk-punk collective hails from minneapolis, minnesota. their legendarily raucous live shows and hit singles like "lead out," "the clap" and "party sedan," the title track from b&r's sophomore effort, only came after hardscrabble beginnings playing in the basements of college house parties across the midwest. yet through it all, b&r have steadily built up a tolerance to bad booze and nasty tunes.

in early 2013, b&r were reunited and resurrected after ben's artistic fling with another band. with the enthusiastic support of their passionate "bothead" fans, they've written new folk tunes with a gritty modern twist. b&r have also recently finished recording another album.

meanwhile, the robots playing behind ben have had more lineups than a north korean firing squad. the current roster features a trifecta of driving drum grooves, bold and harmonious bass lines, and freewheeling sax and melodica framing ben's fearless lyrics and vocals. this is collectively legally protected under u.s. patent #6969666, "instructions for a well oiled ass-kicking machine."
