I know I shouldn’t be writing something professional but when am I ever? You guys support me on fucking SoundCloud of all the platforms and I appreciate it but just know I tried so hard to use a distributor for the first time and I’m about to crash out. The story behind this song in short was witness another woman go through the same horror as I was experiencing simultaneously during a party.  Based on true events, it takes place in an apartment during a crazy night of heavy drinking gone wrong, and how the influences of alcohol can bring out the demons in anyone.

Originally this was track number 4, but I'm posting this first because I read some messages that kinda broke me a little, and this song reminds me of that headspace all over again.  Soon that path will be behind me, as this is the EP to heal from these darknesses.   This is the first one.

Chapter 1: Sexual Abuse and Cheating.

I think in my mind, the song take place between two almost opposing people who have a karmic attraction to each other, but find themselves repeating the same things that makes one wonder if they are just doing the same things as before, or are they learning to want something new that would be something better for them.

Chapter 2: Taking My Power Back.

The headspace for this song originated on a piano.  Nothing at the time besides capturing the emotion of falling into an abyss.  The light in the darkness, that we call fireflies during a summer night, it's that soft glow of hope and illumination when everything around you feels bleak and empty.  The journey into the unknown is the scariest time but it can be also very freeing.

Chapter 3:  Depression and Hope.

I honestly don't have a real description.  It's more like the concept itself.

It started out with piano.  As it always does, and my idea was, "I want this to be a beautiful song."  And now it's something else...  Which is beautiful in itself, but also mildly disappointing.

Chapter Four - Protagonist A vs All

This is a song I'm working on for my new EP coming out in a few months called "Unloved By You", an ode to my current emotional standpoint of love and how bitter and lonely makes me feels sometimes.  I'm aiming for an anti-Valentine's Day release.  What is the goal?  Just to get out some resentful feelings and to hope that after this, I can make some better choices to have a healthy relationship with myself and whoever I invite into my life that would make my love for them not so bitter.
