I set the timer to 48 minutes. Then I hit start.
I wrote this tune in 48 minutes. I began by fiddling until I found a motif that resonated with me. Then I took that motif and gently expanded on it. Since it was my first time doing something like this, I kept it simple instead of getting complex like my past works. Once I felt like I had established a form, I improvised the lyrics. I don’t know them. I didn’t write them down. This is not perfect. Not even polished. At the end of 48 minutes, I closed the file and called it a day.

I challenged myself to do a response or "mirror" version of this popular sample I heard on IG.  I ended up just finding different piano samples and this cool EDM drum sample because your boii still has no real percussion skills.  Thank you #Looperman for always being a free source for me. This piece is meant to display the three stages of panic.

Manic Panic

The story behind this song in short was witness another woman go through the same horror as I was experiencing simultaneously during a party.  Based on true events, it takes place in an apartment during a crazy night of heavy drinking gone wrong, and how the influences of alcohol can bring out the demons in anyone.

Originally this was track number 4, but I'm posting this first because I read some messages that kinda broke me a little, and this song reminds me of that headspace all over again.  Soon that path will be behind me, as this is the EP to heal from these darknesses.   This is the first one.
