Klinika is the alias of Ukrainian techno duo created by Vitalii Mykhailiuk & Vitalii Lupashko in 2009.
Their metamorphosing vision of electronic music led to the creation of the «Klinika" project and its own musical style: intelligent techno with hypnotic rhythms and emphasis on the dark side of the music of machines. From the first day they began to work with techno music which differed from mainstream, thus making it possible to develop a solid contingent of fans of non-standard sound. In spite of the fact that the duet came to music each by their own way, their production ideas combines ideally, giving birth to that unusual and unique high-quality new sound.

You know Dirtybird for dropping basslines and creating smiles on the dance floor since January 2005.

The fun family vibe of the Dirtybird label can be traced back to a free event started in Golden Gate Park, San Francisco. This new kind of house music went against the smooth vocal house that was popular at the time and derived its influences mostly from hip-hop, drum n bass, and American funk. The free outdoor BBQ party was very rough around the edges but eventually became legendary amongst the people of San Francisco. This event was also a very influential factor in the decision by Claude VonStroke to start the record label in 2005.

Today, Dirtybird has offices in San Francisco and Los Angeles and has expanded into events and tour production. As it grows, the brand continues to expand beyond music into merchandise, licensing and artist management. In 2015, Dirtybird launched the inaugural Dirtybird Campout festival, which has been dubbed “Summer Camp For Adults”, and Dirtybird has been recognized from their achievements by being awarded "Underground Label of the Year" at the International Dance Music Awards, “Label of the Decade” by Mixmag, “Best North American Label” by DJ Mag, and Billboard’s "Top 5 Independent Dance Labels".

Techno is a family affair.

Arriving onto the electronic scene with "I Believe", featured on the monumental (10 Records) compilation "Techno 2: The Next Generation" (alongside Carl Craig, Marc Kinchen, and Jay Denham) in 1990, Octave One is the brainchild of the phenomenal native sons of Detroit, MI (USA), the Burden Brothers. The core unit of the band, made up of Lenny and Lawrence Burden (with revolving members of Lynell, Lorne, and Lance Burden), have had the privilege of bringing their high energy live shows to many parts of the world, including Australia, Belgium, Denmark, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Japan, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, Russia, Slovenia, Spain, Switzerland, UK, and the USA, among many other places.

The brothers have released groundbreaking dance anthems on their own Detroit based record label, 430 West Records. Including DJ Rolando's "Jaguar", Random Noise Generation's "Falling in Dub" (the other Burden brother moniker), Aux 88's "My A.U.X. Mind" (on the 430 West sister label Direct Beat), as well as their own Octave One recordings: "Empower", "Nicolette", 'The X-files", "Meridian", “Love and Hate”, “The Greater Good”, and 'Siege". They have remixed tracks for such artists as Massive Attack, Akabu (Joey Negro), DJ Rolando (Jaguar), Steve Bug, John Thomas, Aril Brikha, Vince Watson, The Trampps, Rhythm is Rhythm, and Inner City.

Few labels have established themselves as solidly and definitively as Matthias Tanzmann and André Quaas’ Moon Harbour. Since the turn of the millennium it has been a bastion of deep and tech house quality that has not moved with the times, but has defined them ahead of trend. Through a carefully curated series of EPs and LPs, the label has fomented its own close-knit family that expands and contracts with careful consideration.

In 2012, Fahad Ahmad had already been touring internationally for eight years as part of a DJ/production duo, but when he stepped out on his own as Measure Divide he truly found his voice as a DJ and producer of intelligent, uncommon techno. Simultaneously, the Karachi-born artist launched an events brand, FORMAT, and went on to single-handedly revive the techno scene in his adopted city, Toronto, over the following decade.
 
He has performed at Berghain, K41, Tresor, Boiler Room, Under Club, Stereo, and more. He has hosted and shared the stage with a wide range of groundbreaking artists, including Jeff Mills, Luke Slater, Stef Mendesidis, and Blawan. Celebrating its 10th anniversary, FORMAT marked the milestone with a landmark event featuring Surgeon and Oscar Mulero, cementing its reputation as a driving force in Toronto’s underground scene.

As a producer, he is uninterested in putting out by-the-numbers techno, instead designing nearly every element of each track himself. There’s playfulness and experimentation in his unconventional arrangements, united by a fondness for crunch and distortion and an unwavering attention to detail. 

After a brief hiatus, 2021 marked his return with Green Parallel and Evidence of a Rhythmic Pattern on Clergy, signaling a bold new chapter for Measure Divide.

In an industry in which egotistic and mercenary personalities are all too common, his steady, humble approach is a breath of fresh air. Driven by his passion for the music above all else, and for facilitating experiences that allow others to enjoy it, he is a true linchpin of Toronto’s techno scene, bringing the best of the world to the city and showing the best of the city to the world.
