I’m deeply thankful to everyone who came over to our Secret Villa Party. It was a really cool experience, I hope you think so too <3 If you had had a pleasure to attend our BBQ lounge zone before the main party started, so you probably heard today’s guest mix. Welcome, a music producer from São Paulo, Brazil – YBRYD. 

When we are playing parties as a collective, we 100% spinning some baile funk joints. So today’s guest is definitely the producer who is worth your attention if you keen on Baile. In his music he is hybridizing Brazilian genres such as baile funk, mpb, samba, forró, and many others with the global bass sound and give them his special touch. That was the main reason why I started being interested in his activity. “In my recent journey i've been able to live in New Jersey for a year and while in there I've experimented with styles such as jersey club and house, creating what i call the Jersey Baile and House Baile sound. Although they are not presented in this guest mix you're welcome to check it out in my SoundCloud”

About the local music scene

"As far as the music scene in Brazil, I would say that it is definitely on it's peak of popularity right now, although the streaming era has it's issues, so many good underground SoundCloud artists are being able to rise to the mainstream level such as DKVPZ, VHOOR, Sanvtto, kLap and many more. I think that Brazil has an unique flavour that stands out on a global level and Baile Funk made the brazilian sound hot again globally since bossa nova. There is still a lot of room for growth and improvement and I believe that those who build a solid work in the long run will reap the fruits of their hard labor."

"This Rozmarin Guest Mix was an unusual experience for me. I had some friends at home and I hadn't prepared anything specific as I normally do before recording a guest mix, so I just started recording while we were drinking some beers and played what I felt like playing at the time, no script, no rehearsal, just straight vibes. It starts with a chill atmosphere and grows into a more dancefloor focused vibe, I hope you guys enjoy it!" <3
