META014 is undoubtedly one of the most eagerly anticipated Metalheadz releases in the label's entire history! This milestone outing sees a long overdue debut release for one of the drum and bass scene's greatest talents Dom & Roland. His constant output of critically acclaimed work, over nearly twenty years, has contained some of the biggest tracks this genre has ever spawned. We proudly present two brand new outstanding examples of his production genius for your listening pleasure. 

Both sides of this release are already instantly recognisable to most discerning and non-discerning fans and both will no doubt become future classics, just as you might anticipate from Dom's first Metalheadz outing. 

'Unofficial Jah' draws inspiration from Goldie's ground-breaking seminal 1995 album 'Timeless'. Crafting the recognisable elements toward a direction that perfectly fits the track's title. Dom stamps his unmistakable champion sound into a Goldie classic, creating a truly heavyweight, dubbed out reconstruction of epic proportions. 

'Outta Endz' perfectly completes an essential release with a piece of music that has been destroying dance floors and leaving people setting all the regular forums and club convo’s alight with the question “What is that Outta London vocal tune!?” It's intro pads leading up to a stuttered repeated cry of “Straight Outta London” before dropping into a track so big it's practically an instant rewind. Truly a 'must have' piece of vinyl. 

To finish off the release, the stunning sleeve art fittingly depicts a new take on the classic Metalheadz logo, the lion has awoken! Let Jah be praised!

In amongst releasing some in your face jump up in the mid 90s under the aliases Glamour Gold and Gang Related, on Philly Blunt and Dope Dragon respectively, Krust was also making ground breaking Drum n Bass under his more familiar name. The pioneering long players pushed boundaries and many wouldn't of been out of place on a film score. Krust then returned to the scene after a hiatus to offer up similar tracks and a new album, to once again push the envelope.

The whispers have been building gradually for Dom & Roland’s album for Metalheadz and now we’re very happy to be able to reveal the sampler for the project. The sampler kicks off with Sirens Song feat Robert Manos, typically cinematic work from Dom with Robert Manos’ trademark vocals, the drum work is some of Doms finest to date. Tone Poem has been a highlight of Goldie’s sets for the last few months and it's easy to see why: big bass and lashing drums make this one an instant wheel up.

Skee Mask is a versatile producer from Munich, who doesn’t want to be identified. He got influenced by a lot of different types of music over the last years, which made his productions pretty various. One of the rising stars of the almighty ILIAN TAPE, you can find a new track of his on the recent "Various Artists - A Decade Ilian Tape" compilation. His mix weaves between various moods and styles, a soild contribution from an unpredictable artist. Enjoy

“It was a continuous struggle to search for a balance between our usual production style and the original rave vibes”, explains Pieter Santens of @sue-avenue, essentially capturing the essence of a good remix process. The outcome is a stumping house roller that plays with a smooth acid synth, but keeps the vibe a little deeper, easy-going and accessible. We could totally hear this rework on a rooftop lounge or a tiny dark nightclub. Its deeper atmosphere works for every occasion.
