I thought I'd share this track with you having just discovered the tragic news that Nick is no longer with us. RIP Nick I never said thanks for putting us on the guest list at The Paradsio, Amsterdam in 2012 for your Gravenhurst show at London Rocks. 

Nick and I spoke about four weeks ago about these lost Assembly Communications tracks from 1996. I sent Nick the wav files as he wanted to enjoy his first band again, we never did establish what he intended to do with them. I'm sure Nick wouldn't mind me sharing one of them with you now in celebration of a true talent. Nick Bristol salutes you sir.

At High Tide

Inspired by Night Note (@mmastalka) who incorporates nature like sounds in their compositions I thought would give it a try too.

This song is mostly a Korg Volca Drum with some Yamaha Bells added in. The Volca Drum is pretty powerful for such a small package. While it only has 16 steps in its sequencer it has the ability to add probability to each step so the pattern doesn't get too repetitive. It has the ability to play pitched notes and the only thing it is lacking is the ability to play pitched notes via midi in its multi channel mode.
