This was my way of processing some of the sensations related to learning of Robbie Robertson's death.  For most, The Last Waltz epitomizes the heights of Robertson's powers and I felt like no greater moment helps us understand life and death than Bob Dylan's contribution to that collaboration and culminating song of The Last Waltz as an array of legendary musicians joins forces in I Shall Be Released.

I often think this quote from Robertson about their last tour has a lot of symbolic meaning beyond a concert tour and may be fitting for understanding the road of life which he said right after I Shall Be Released in the film:

"The road was our school. It gave us a sense of survival. it taught us everything we know... there's not much left that we can really take from the road." -Robertson

The title of this sudden EP was based on a flavor entry for Starbuck's secret menu contest.  My entry was a modified Cafe Verona Dark Roast with 2 pumps vanilla syrup, a splash of sweet vanilla cream, 2 signature espresso shots, and cinnamon dolce on top.  I figured, why not make a 5 track EP out of it; new jazzy and organic coffee vibes to match its unique flavor ☕😊🎧🎵
