Kaisha Kunin formed in Bologna in 2010 out of a random meeting between Marco Sammartino and Jack Calico.
Their genre spans different rock styles, from stoner classics to fringes of blues,
garage, surf, rock'n'Roll, pop tunes and beat gen. The idea being to throw all pre-existing rock genres of the planet together, and creating a sharp cut from the standardization of the song form that's been reigning the last decade.
This is why they prefer to talk about Open Rock.

It's a direct, fresh, powerful, melodic, easy and chameleon-like listen.

Kaisha Kunin's music demands going beyond the first track, the only way, to realise the eclectic nature of varying of styles, of approaches and of genres.

Original tracks and lyrics in English...The magnificent 4 happen to meet, and as often does happen in these unions borne of public noticeboards of all varieties and bumping into each other at muso night hangouts around the city, each of them bring to the project their diverse musical experiences.

Jack Calico (ex Plaster Caster): Guitar essence of American Blues, rock'n'Roll, swing, gypsy sweet'n'Hard from Messina.
Marco: Voice/Guitar/Writer, Mind!
Danirele Chirigoni): , the band's funk crossover lung who has played all different sorts of genres in his career getting here from Spain.
And Giovann Quinto, on drums, new in the band as of October 2011, a drummer with great technical awareness.

I KK prendono forma a Bologna alla fine del 2009 ed escono con un demo di 5 canzoni,
Che nel 2010 vengono portate a 11 con la demo collection

Marco Sammartino e Jack Calico(Luca Ferrara) già insieme in un precedente
progetto abbandonato anni prima,decidono di riprovarci...
a loro si aggiungono Daniele Chirigoni al basso e Riccardo Angius alla batteria.
L'idea è quella di tracciare un orizzonte musicale definito
Open Rock.
Radici rock/blues che si tingono d'interpretazioni,intenti ed esucuzioni
aperte che richiamano cioè musiche e generi diversi
Rock and garage,beat and folk and grunge,and stoner ,accenti doo wop,geghegè,western,
ritmi etnici,accenni soul, così che ogni nuova canzone della band
apre ad un nuovo modo di reinterpretare ciò che è scritto nella storia della musica
dagli anni 50 ad oggi!
Un rock aperto e pronto a tutto. E' la cifra stilistica dei KK, band che può suonare hard come i System of a Down,funkeggiare come i Parliament,ricordare il blues di John Lee
Hooker, tex mex come i Calexico.
La band si lascia trasportare ovunque vada la musica e così i concerti,onnivori e muscolosi,sono all'insegna dell'assoluto divertimento
e della difficile collocabilità in un  genere preciso.
Su tutto vale la voglia di suonare esplorando senza dimenticare l' immediatezza del rock and roll e del blues che sono le matrici primigenie
dei Kaisha Kunin..L Ascolto è intenso camaleontico potente e trascinante..easy!
2010 Escono in distribuzione digitale per l'etichetta one eyed fish ora abbandonata.
Vincono una menzione di merito per la canzone Neck and Down nel concorso
La musica libera libera la musica 2010
DAL 2010 SUONANO IN TUTTA ITALIA CON DATE A BOLOGNA,BERGAMO,MONZA,TRENTO,PESARO,REGGIO EMILIA,MODENA,PISTICCI,POLICORO
Ottobre 2013 esce il primo album Ce n'est pas du Rock autoprodotto e registrato
a Bologna. 8 tracce che aprono un altro capitolo di Open Rock!
Nel 2014 dopo l'uscita dal gruppo di Jack Calico e Angius, la band attuale è così composta

Interested by the electronical music since i was young specially by hardcore music (thunderdome). It's in 2005 that i started to make my own music with fruityloop 6 under the name of Selikor
And i played in live with ableton. I joined TUGS soundsystem in 2010. Then i choosed to buy a mac to use ableton and some hardware. After that i decided to buried selikor to become Gangrene!


Interessé depuis son plus jeune age par la musique électronique plus precisement par le hardcore c est en 2002 que j achète mes premiers cd ( thunderdome total hardcore........)et c est en 2005 que je commence la compo avec fruityloop 6 sous le nom selikor et joue en live sur ableton  je rejoins le soundsystem tugs !! en 2010 je decide de passer sur mac et ableton plus un autre projet hardware avec yamaha Rm1x roland sp606 boss gt 6b kaoss pad nord rack 2x et decide d enterrer selikor pour devenir gangrene!!  je joue en live avec un apC 20 + korg microkontrol...nord rack 2x alpha juno 2
