He Is The Voice I Hear’ is my first all new work since “Lady Of Sorrows.” It’s been a long journey from there to here. I’m so thrilled to continue the story and finally realize my dream of bringing together an ensemble of live musicians.

This record was a joy to create with my engineering and production partner, Rupert Murray, Davide Rossi on strings and Christoforo LaBarbera on keys. The vinyl was mastered and cut by Tim Xavier for Manmade Mastering.  We’ve also put some special touches into the design of the record itself. 

Incredible thanks to Adam Rowe, Andrew Gordon, Jake Nelson and everyone that helped make this record possible at all.

Flowers From The Ashes is the latest multi-artist project to bear the acclaimed Stroboscopic Artefacts imprimatur. There is a sensibility of decadence and corroded grandeur etched within its four album sides, reminding us that historically “decadent” times have nonetheless resulted in some of the boldest acts of individual and collective creativity. Like the "floral" theme that has remained a consistent feature of S.A.’s graphic presentation, the music here equally presents fragility and intensity in a way that really drives home this visual metaphor for good, while still holding out the promise that similar creations will be seeded in the near future.

Though many of the artists involved have set of residence outside of their native Italy, all contribute here to make a captivating portrait of a shared spirit and cultural memory. The album opens with 'Errori', deceptively fragile sonic ornaments crafted and suspended in space by Blackest Ever Black artist Silvia Kastel. This is followed closely by the mellifluous, warming glow of percussionist Andrea Belfi’s 'Spitting & Skytouching', and then by the resolute electric bass patterns and luminous fog of 'Lux et Sonus', from Eeri label head Marco Shuttle. Hospital Productions alumnus Ninos du Brasil open the B-side with a similarly dense, amorphous construction built from tribalistic chants and rhythmic patterns, to be followed by Mannequin label boss Alessandro Adriani’s 'You Will Not Be There For The End', showcasing his distinctive take on the "paranoiac breakdance" aesthetic of classic EBM. S.A. veteran Chevel rounds out the first record in the program by interlacing several percolating synth lines together into a richly conversational piece.

The journey continues with 'Starving The Mind', an undulating mini-epic from S.A. founder Lucy that is animated by his signature balance of seductiveness and concentration. The bright, biting acid synth tones of 'PRV-HH3-X', by Lory D, then takes a sharp right turn into an invisible metropolis ruled by reflective high fashion and hidden intrigue. The imposing architecture of 'Virgo Rebellion', designed by modular synth futurist Caterina Barbieri, acts as an excellent companion piece, and sets up the closing '4G' from Spazio Disponibile co-founder Neel - a crepuscular serenade that accurately sums up much of the foregoing activity.

DJ Seinfeld presents an immersive EP exploring the balance between fragility and force. Sakura EP is out on Deep Sea Frequency in April. 
The four tracks draw from a multitude of inﬂuences. Breaks, electro, dub and trance elements band together with a familiar lo-ﬁ approach where distortion acts as an instrument of its own.
Title track "Sakura" is a subaquatic dose of old school electro with swollen bass and fuzzy harmonics. Sagrada brandishes swirling melodies with layers of detail whilst Belvedere uses looped breaks and a sub-driven bassline to build animated funk. Battery rounds out the EP playing with delicate melodic inﬂections over a cavernous low end.

Musique Pour La Danse takes a short break from reissuing rare and essential music to bring you a selection of four new and exclusive tracks from the French underground entitled Equipe de Danse. Curated by label co-manager Ed Isar (@ed-isar), a DJ and promoter active in the Paris underground since more than a decade, this EP brings together different producers and styles, highlighting the diversity and the creativity currently flowing through the French scene and providing DJs and ravers with quality tunes to work with and dance to. 

Automat - Disco Trax (@automat-1)
Everyone has a story about how one electronic music experience changed their lives forever, for Ed it was seeing Automat live in Paris in 2006 when he was 18. Automat’s Electrospectif LP is still one of the best and most underrated French electro albums of the 21st century. Hearing Disco Trax many years later and realizing this fast-paced banger never got pressed on vinyl was the spark that encouraged Ed to work on this EP. This is irresistible jakbeat with electro and italo influences, timeless and compelling. 

Cuften - bgt55ujp0 (@cuften)
Cuften is a unique artist from Normandy who prefers being called a musician rather than a producer: he creates and records all his music live on a 100% hardware setup with absolutely no computers involved. With IDM and acid influences as well as a passion for hardcore, his music bridges the gaps between Aphex Twin, Marc Acardipane and Legowelt. This track is a perfect introduction to his world where hard hitting kicks get bodies moving while acid madness gets minds melting and it’s actually his first tune ever released on vinyl. Keep an eye out for Purusu, Cuften’s own record label which he runs with the help of Ed, a strictly underground affair that is already gathering support from established DJs around the world. 

Sina - Faith (@Subtyl)
This is the very first track by Sina pressed on vinyl and what a belter it is! He is part of the new wave of electronic music activists in Paris with his Subtyl parties that were among the first to encourage today’s ravers to side-step the clubs and go party in warehouses half a decade ago. We immediately signed Faith upon hearing it for the first time, spellbound by its pounding and dreamy atmosphere, full of dramatic and ecstatic moments. This track exists in a techno universe of its own, as gritty as it is melodic. It never fails to get a reaction from the crowds and has been a staple of Ed’s peak time sets lately. 

Raymond D Barre - I Don’t Know Dave (@raymonddbarre)
He’s an up and coming producer and live performer from Paris who released a great EP on Nocta Numerica in 2016 and has several projects in the works. Clocking at 108 BPM, this tune is the downtempo cut on the EP. Driven by an 808, structured by FM bass and embellished with some lovely acid touches, this track could be described as 21st century orientalist New Beat or perhaps Egyptian Lover on codeine. Either way, this nod to Belgian vibes and BPM did not go unnoticed by both label managers and this fun and quirky track is often the highlight of downtempo sets.

Cleveland is forever in search of the brown note. This is his second offering for the ESP Institute. Side A’s 'Tusk' is a beautiful paradox—rhythm programs that churn like the inner workings of a grandfather clock, unmistakably mechanical, yet fashioned through muted analogue instrumentation that paints a deceptively organic picture. The crystallized jangle of FM synth voices toy with the softened drum patterns and vibrant animal-like chord gestures over nearly seven minutes of splendor. On side B, 'Aku' digs further into mysticism, manifesting digital jungle themes, cleverly abstracted through erratic bleeps, distant tribal drums, atonal flutters and synthetic bird calls. The cinematic quality of Clevelands production shines through both tracks, but its 'Aku' that sweeps us from reality to embark on a moonlit expedition in search long lost treasures, proving Cleveland a virtuoso skilled in building complex narratives with sound. These two songs will modulate your frequencies.

Frits Wentink takes to his own Bobby Donny imprint to deliver a collaborative release with DJ Boring dubbed 'Wasted Years Of Pumping Iron'. The EP consists of three jacking and glitchy house track including the swinging, garage influenced deep house cut 'Chad Brothers'.

This exciting collab brings together two of the brightest talents to emerge from the underground in recent years. Frits with standout releases Wolf Music and Detroit Swindle's Heist, and Dj Boring developing a cult-like following with releases on Shall Not Fade's sud-label Lost Palms, E-Beamz and the Let's Play House sub-label LPH WHITE. With that, this forthcoming EP is not to be overlooked.
