Luana Karoo respira arte e musica desde da barriga de sua mãe, quando Nilda a levava para sentir seu pai tocar o saldoso samba, passou a infancia ouvindo boa musica em sua casa.

Anos depois a musica entrou de vez em sua vida, depois de se afiliar ao movimento The Groov, passou a se apresentar em algumas edições,
Após 4 anos convivendo, disseminando e bebendo na fonte da original black music, Luana iniciou sua carreira solo em grande estilo e cheia de boas referências. Sua carreira começou oficialmente em "2015" mas Já dividiu palco com fortes nomes da cena como Curumin, Larissa Luz, Indee Styla, Abayomy Afrobeat Orquestra, Otto, etc .

No canto , a inspiração vem de divas como Erykah Badu, Lauryn Hill, Amy Winehouse, Marisa Monte, Céu, Gal, Etta James, Nina Simone e muitas outras !


O álbum de estreia se chama "Orun Aiye", em yoruba traduz o encontro do mundo espiritual com o mundo físico, a previsão de lançamento está para 2016/2017. Nas palavras da própria intérprete: "Desse primeiro trabalho podem esperar o início de uma carreira sólida e verdadeira que eu pretendo construir, além do meu coração e amor que depositei em cada musica! Minha missão é levar qualidade sonora e a realidade do meu povo para o mundo! Não sou de criar expectativas, só gratidão!"

Music is what keeps my soul alive. I blog about underground music and up and coming artists. I'm a lover of Electro Hip Hop/ Soul so most of the music posted here would definitely highlight that. I am also a big fan fan of old school hip hop and any artist/producer that reflects that vibe. Sometimes it's not just the beat that entices me but how the words are poetically unchained opening me up to things I never knew existed.
