SKYKYS ([ˈskaɪ ˈkeɪ ˈwaɪ ˈɛs]; b. 2006) is the main artistic identity of Thai audiovisual artist and composer Sippapas Thienwiwat presenting audiovisual arts through live coding. SKYKYS’ works traverse through different audiovisual landscapes, gesturally examining sound in all of its shapes and forms while accompanied by extreme black-white visual strobes and oscilloscope graphic arts. Drawing from influences of cyberpunk aesthetics and the modern digital society, SKYKYS’ works amalgamate geeky technique studies with the narratives of man-machine interaction and the imperfection of digital systems.
