Close It Quietly is a continual reframing of the known. It’s like giving yourself a haircut or rearranging your room. You know your hair. You know your room. Here’s the same hair, the same room, seen again as something new. Close It Quietly takes the trademark Frankie Cosmos micro-universe and upends it, spilling outwards into a swirl of referentiality that’s a marked departure from earlier releases, imagining and reimagining motifs and sounds throughout the album. FC’s fourth studio release is a manifestation of the band’s collaborative spirit: Greta Kline and longtime bandmates Lauren Martin (synth), Luke Pyenson (drums), and Alex Bailey (bass) luxuriated in studio time with Gabe Wax, who engineered and co-produced the record with the band.

Aside from being in a few cool/seminal/groundbreaking NY bands such as The Psychotronic Men, Selective Outrage, The Spies, Tripmonster, Allied Forces, and numerous studio sessions, I am also the touring guitarist for "100 Years of Broadway" and "Rock and Roll Decades".

I just broke the Soundcloud bot with 1,044 songs!!! In the club, I play a stock Ibanez Jem 70V, through a boss  Katana and a Boss GT-6 pedalboard. in the studio I use Logic Pro X and Protools . I record live with a Zoom H6 essential.

Paul Haney is an inspiring musical story, although his musical career got off to an inauspicious beginning: during his first performance at a grade school music contest, he defecated in his pants while playing Scott Joplin’s “Rag Time” as a member of a saxophone quartet. The quartet was disqualified as the judges falsely concluded that the episode was merely a prank; a humiliated Paul was left to pick up the pieces, as it were. This marked the beginning of a lifelong struggle against stage fright, a struggle he shares with the other great performers like Barbara Streisand and Jack Benny. Despite this, Paul impressively managed to score several above-average ratings in subsequent music contests throughout grade school. 

Paul’s musical career was briefly sidetracked as he entered high school, due to an unfortunate stint as flag-boy for the marching band. While dressed in full marching band regalia, Paul participated in the half-time show of football games by placing decorative flags on the field so that they could be subsequently picked up and twirled by members of the flag corps. For his efforts, Paul was the object of scorn and merciless ridicule by an immature and obviously jealous group of teenagers. 

Fast forward many years: Paul's largely retreated from the stage, finding solace in books and serenity in his cool, dark, cave-like apartment. However, spurred on by his parents and loved ones to “get himself out there”, Paul continues to make music for the world to hear.
