Chief is very happy to present a new EP by our good German friend DJOKO. The talented producer from Cologne returned with a strong Tech House record. Filled with sharp synth stabs, vocal shots and a stomping groove, this track has all the right elements for your afterhours club night. The remix duties where by David Moran, Murvin Sound, Prune Flat & Stroopwafel. The UK based David Moran made a remix with a sweet raw dub groove, perfect for the underground lovers. From France we got Murvind Sound back on remix duties. His interpretation contains a sold bass groove, accompanied with nice chord stabs and deep organ elements. Dutch resident Prune Flat created a Tech House version with a punchy sub bass. Finally we have a remix by a mysterious delicious Dutch treat, Stroopwafel delivered a groovy remix with some heavy bass action.

Roush Label is back with a new release aimed at paying tribute to the world’s best cities for Techno and House. “A New Journey” is an EP from the artist Flashmob that will take you through the City of Detroit, Berlin and Rotterdam, three of the world’s top destinations for Techno and House.  Flashmob is no stranger to recognition. With 4 years in the game, the artist has received recognition from Annie Mac, Heidi and Skream on BBC Radio One, Disclosure, Dusky, Eats Everything, DJ W!ld, Tiga, Groove Armada and many more and the new EP will surely be played throughout various nightclubs and cities worldwide. 

The EP kicks off with City of Detroit. Right after the conclusion of the Movement Festival, this new tune makes you want to go back immediately to the city that has consistently revolutionized the sound. The tune starts off with a powerful kick and smooth bassline that then brings in a vocal that would make every Detroit citizen pleased. From the breakdown, you get what you expect from Flashmob, a build that keeps you moving and putting your hands in the air. When the beat drops, there is no-one left not dancing. To top it off, the EP also contains a remix from Kalyde, an artist recently being featured on DJ Mag and for good reason, his remix takes the original to a new dimension that keeps the groove going for either an opening or ending set.

Rock Only Berlin and Rotterdam are two of the other tunes that show the diversity of the producer. Rock Only Berlin does truly rock the crowd without ever using an electric guitar or the typical rock sound. It is a straight up Tech House banger that will get the entire floor pumping. Rotterdam follows it up with a smooth head boppin’ tune that goes into a breakdown that artists such as Josh Wink or Steve Bug would gladly display in their sets. Providing top notch Tech House and Techno, the EP is a solid purchase for anyone looking to diversify their set and bring the sounds of Europe and Detroit into their cities.

Young blood Chris Skapetis aka Litmus debuts his solo EP 'Analytical' on Trojan House with two tunes in his unique stripped back Techno style. 'Analytical' is a beautifully melodic piece, down tempo, low slung and gorgeously sluggish. Evolving synth work with an emotionally charged piano melody wash across the canvas delicately, while the sub bass adds rumble and groove as it rolls back and forth. 'Redemption', with its minimal flavour and vocal hymn exude a haunting and exciting vibe. The sub bass fills the low end nicely, and its the relationship between the bass and the vocal that will have dance floors in a hypnotic trance.

Dhaze brings the noise, and delivers a huge Techno remix of 'Analytical' drenched in his signature sound. Uppity and driving, powerful and strong when all the elements culminate, it has enough oomph to make even the most dense dance floors shudder.

Cicuendez is up next with his rendition of "Analytical', and its a minimal Techno affair. Eerily vibbed with a slight industrial feel to its thumping rhythm. It harbors a full pallet of sounds filling the spectrum that add flow to the groove when washing over the subby low end.

James Petrou chooses to take his 'Redemption' remix to a totally different realm than the original. At its core it is a bass line driven Tech House romper! Creative synth work in the evolving breakdowns dissipate in an instant to give way to the god like bass line which drops into place abruptly and will have crowds begging for more.
