Solid Grooves has built a strong following of loyal fans over the years. Starting out as an event series, the London based brand has since achieved global success including a prevalent Ibiza residency last year. Launching as a label in 2015, it wasn’t long before Solid Grooves Records topped Beatport’s overall charts with Wade’s remix of Dennis Cruz ‘See Line’ and cemented its reputation as an infallible imprint, releasing music from names such as Kuo Climax, ONNO, David Pher and Brett Gould.

Dennis Cruz leads the way with ‘Fake’, a vocal focused track with throbbing bass, chopped up samples and infectious percussive components before Franz Costa’s ‘Kate’ blends a medley of intricate rhythmic elements for a trippy low-slung production.

The label co-founders are up next, with Michael Bibi unleashing a roaring low-end in ‘Devil’s Candy’ whilst a spoken word sample operates through, making way for PAWSA’s ‘Taking Over’ – an atmospheric house track geared for powerful subs featuring dub inspired stabs and sharp hats. Reelow then concludes the package, demonstrating his signature style with a cacophony of percussion and mesmerizing effects.

The next release on Roush comes from the ever-popular Iglesias. The UK-based producer has been one of the most affluently present artists in recent years and is often one of the first names out of the hat when talking about talented tech house creators. Opening the release is the title track 'Where's My Snare?', a typically gritty and hat-heavy Roush style track. It comes equipped with a well-balanced low end and perfectly separated high frequencies. Add to that some subtle melodic elements, percussive fills and cleverly manipulated vocal cuts, making it an entertaining weapon of choice. Next up, 'When You Wanna Groove' keeps no secrets with its naming. An essentially groove-focused roller with an emphasis on its seemingly endless layers of intricately panned rhythm. Rising levels of melody and vocal presence build throughout its transitional segments before throwing you straight back into the zone. Closing the EP is 'All About Sex', which focuses more on building a vibe from a stripped-back approach. Iglesias takes the 'less is more' route with this one, homing in on fluctuating the intensity of the tracks elements in different places to build atmosphere and suspense.
