Chicago-raised and House-bred, Abzu Flow delivers the kind of sets built for real dance floors. Known in Chicago’s early-2000s scene as Jammin’ Johnny & Johnny Younan, he came up spinning both solo and with the Top Rock crew at many of the city’s most popular venues to its underground scene— from warehouse floors to low-light backrooms, where the culture truly lived.

Heavily influenced by the city’s legendary pioneers who shaped the emerging sound of Classic Chicago House, he developed a deep respect for the culture, the craft, and the raw foundations that built the scene. Introduced to the music at a young age, he grew up spinning vinyl only, crate digging, practically living at Chicago’s iconic Gramaphone Records, sharpening his ear for both history and innovation.

Abzu Flow’s style blends Classic Chicago House, with Raw Ghetto Beats, Gritty Detroit Techno & Acid, Atmospheric Textures, Minimal Tech with Obscure, Haunting Vocals, all anchored by that unapologetically deep, soul-shaking bass. A sound crafted with intention and depth.

His -Coming Home Mix Series- carries that journey forward — honoring the foundation while continuing to explore new artists and sonic territory.

By fusing these worlds together, he creates sets that are raw, soulful, hypnotic, and unmistakably Chicago.
