Esteemed Irish actor, film producer, environmentalist, philanthropist, artist and two-time Golden Globe Award nominee Pierce Brosnan who was recently honoured for his rich and extensive career in front of the camera and behind-the-scenes as a producer joined Ray on the Ray Darcy show this afternoon.

He chat’s about that Oscar Wilde Award, his IFTA nomination for The Last Rifleman and the influence his early years on the banks of the Boyne had on his art.

He also chat’s about Bond too, in the same week that actor Aaron Taylor-Johnson was tipped to take on the mantle.

Darren Frehill continues his Road to Paris feature series on RTE Radio 1's Morning Ireland. Daniel Coyle has taken the showjumping world by storm over the last 12 months. He and mare, Legacy are among the top performers on the world circuit at the moment. Coyle's place at the Olympics has not yet been confirmed but he is almopst certain to be picked on his form. He is hoping his story can inspire the next generation in the Derry area.

His back story is quite extrodinary. He is from just outrside the city. Not from a horse background but fell in love with the game while riding ponies when young. He got luck with his own horse, UP TOWN GIRL. When that partnership came to an end, he had to start again and went across the atlantic to keep his dream alive

Singer-songwriter and teacher Jack O’Rourke performs amazing cover of David Bowie’s ‘Life on Mars’. 
Jack O’Rourke came to prominence during the Marriage Equality Referendum last year with his song, Silence, which is an autobiographical song about growing up gay in Ireland. His melodic voice has seen comparisons drawn with the likes of John Grant, Rufus Wainright, Tom Waits and Bruce Springsteen.
